JDS-Reem Cain-Mir Bigfoot-Roy SDR-Zaga and all very interesting matchups. If those fights hold up that will be one of the best cards of the year.

| Three vicious KO's inside the first round, offset by the longest 15 minute bout in MMA history. Roy and Bigfoot will cuddle inside eachothers guards for the entire fight is what you think I'd predict next, but instead I am going to say that JDS and Reem run from eachother the entire fight, standing an average of 6 feet apart and both resort to butt scooting at various points in the fight despite not being guard players, causing Ninja and Kingsown to both ask to have their accounts deleted. | |

| http://www.mmamania.com/2012/3/12/2865001/ufc-146-odds-cain-velasquez-vs-frank-mirTo be frank, there's never been a better time to lay down some cheddar on Mir. That's because the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who's been on a long and arduous journey in pursuit of the 265-pound crown, is a +325 underdog in his fight against Cain Velasquez, booked for UFC 146 on May 26, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Velasquez is the -500 favorite, according to our fiscal friends at Best Fight Odds. | |

I don't get it, he has a wonderful record vs wrestlers with punching power.

I don't think Frank even thinks he is gonna win. What? Frank thinks Frank is the best there is, ever was, and ever will be. I think it will be a better fight than people think.

Frank just knows how to front. When the cage closes, he scared of big powerful wrestler. Frank has historically had problems with guys who are bigger than him, however, Cain is not bigger than him. Cain is a better wrestler but I think Frank will be comfortable on his back if it ends up that way. If I was 100% honest then yes I would take Cain. But I'm a Mir fan, so I'm gonna stick with my boy.

| Mir has problems with wrestlers who pack a punch. Cain packs as big a punch as both Carwin and Lesnar, except he is more accurate and has a wider variety of strikes. Also better cardio. Frank may be bigger but he has no way of getting this to the ground. | |

But Mir got into trouble with Lesnar and Carwin when the fight was real tight, wether against the cage or on the mat. And both Carwin and Lesnar are able to generate serious power from those spots. Cain's power is most evident in traditional standup, with seperation, in ground and pound mode he is more volume then power.

But Cain still has the ability to push Mir up against the cage and land shots. But he also has the ability to hurt Mir from distance. He can do everything Lesnar and Carwin did and more. He has more options. But if he really wanted to he could hold Mir against the cage and mess him up just the same.

He prob could generate more power in the clinch, then he could on the ground, but I still don't see him being in Carwin or Lesnar's league in either situation(especially Lesnar's gnp). He has better striking and wrestling then either guy, but Im not sure if those fights will be the blueprint as to how Cain will beat Frank.

I think Cain could use that blueprint if he wanted to. But he also has other options. What I'm saying is he could do everything those guys did and more. He can throw knees from the clinch because there is no risk of being taken down because he would get right back up anyways. Mir is going to have to catch him like Kongo did and then hop on a sub. But I'm not sure Mir can hit hard enough to get that done.

| Coming off the KO, Im expecting Cain to use his wrestling pretty extensively.
He could certainly control the fight in such manner for a full 15 minutes. but Im not expecting the devastation that Brock was able to lay on Mir.
