Lamb of God is probably the most popular metal band out there today outside of old leftover acts like Metallica. Their last 2 albums opened at #2 on Billboard which is pretty unheard of as far as metal goes

Haha. Tool is the best Alt metal ever. Coming to terms with Tool fandom as a true metalhead has been a challenge, but when your list has faux fag metal like Amon Amarth, new Venom, newer Sodom, etc you've lost any amoral highground. I mean, you have albums like Scream Bloody Gore and shit but mostly your taste reads like a second year internet metalhead. You're a newb. You won't like half these albums in a year or two from an internet metalhead perspective and in 5 years you won't listen to most of them. There is a good chance 60% of your list you first downloaded in the last 6 months. Seen it time and time again. I was writing reviews for Necrovore and Possessed on metal archives in 2004. You're ten years behind me on death metal, and another three on MMA. A level two sorcerers apprentice disrespecting Gangsta Merlin.

I don't think new music sucks. I can name a bunch of awesome death metal albums from the last year. But you'd you know, actually have to listen to real death metal to know about them. Something, you don't do.

Purely from a qualitative standpoint, those eras from those bands were trash. Utter trash. You like anything with angry sounding riffs and screeched vocals.
