I can't decide yet but it's gotta be either Wilt, Kareem or Magic imo

| yeah i was watching espn last night and they had magic on there talking about this. he actually picked Kobe out of the bunch and over himself but what do you expect from Magic?
i really don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices to be honest. it's all a matter of opinion

| I went Magic. He made players play above their talent level and the bigger the stage the better he played. |

| Magic Johnson
I personally think he's not just the best player to play for the Lakers, but arguably the best, most dynamic player of all time IMO.

| Slow media day, this has been on the radio all day. Most people's answers depend on the generation they grew up in. | |

| Wilt's Laker career was only 5 seasons, the last two he was still good, but a shell of his early career self.
Kareem's career as a whole is still better then Kobe, but we're taking Laker career. 2 league MVPs, 1 Finals MVP, 5 Titles. 6 1st teams...got to go Kobe
Magic is the one guy who still probably has the edge over Kobe, but I think when all is said and done Kobe has a great chance to go down as the greatest Laker ever.
This question depends on the people being asked too, like I wouldn't expect Kobe to get much dap around here. I got to also say too, imagine Kobe with a cast of players like that 80's team? You can say different era, but only a couple teams were that stacked back then, and they were the ones who also won..

| Kobe only has 1 League MVP. In 3 of his titles he wasn't even the man as Shaq dominated. Magic was always the man on his team. |

Yeah but if you want to play that game, Magic never won a title without Kareem.

Yeah but if you want to play that game, Magic never won a title without Kareem. But Magic was always the man. But let's not pretend like he didn't have some very good talent around him. Both also had great coaches. IF you are going to penalize Kobe for playing with Shaq, you have to atleast mention that Magic never won without Kareem. Kobe went on to win even after Shaq.

| Kobe has an argument for #s 1 through 5 on the Lakers list. Johnson, Jabbar, and Chamberlin are in the same boat, but not Shaq or West. I go Johnson. He was one of those guys, was basketball, every position and every position well. Guy started as center in game 6 of the championships his rookie year. | |

I'm not arguing that point at all. What I'm saying is that Kobe wasn't even the best player on those teams and wasn't responsible for the titles. |

| I went Jerry West. Different era, but he was a 10x All NBA, 4x 2nd Team All NBA. Career avg of 27 PPG, 47%, and almost 7 APG. | |
