what should penalty for piracy be?

just heard they want to give the founder of megavideo 50 years in jail. Pretty crazy when there are guys who commit rape and murder and get less time than that.

stiff fine, but only for the high volume offenders.

i agree fine the shit out of them. Especially guys who made a ton of money like the megavideo guy. But 50 years in jail is really ridiculous.

Yeah that is just insane. Fine him, garnish future wages, probation, fuck with him financially, but damn...prison? Really?

I have always hated some of the sentencing out there for certain crimes. It's amazing some of the things that get you worse times then other violent crimes. Also hate how they try to group every "internet crime" with some kind of terrorism.

they try to link any crime in general to terrorism. Remember the "if you smoke pot you are helping fund terrorism" commercials. That was just a few years ago.

Honestly, the propaganda used back in the day to promote cigarette use, as ridiculous as it seems now, is still being used but in other areas and for other agendas. I wonder how long it will be before we look back and see just how naive and unassuming the people of our time really were.

Well we did elect a slogan into office. "Yes We Can" got a ton of votes.
