Exactly, they tried to force it into a window because Floyd was in a bind. He knew things would have to line up just right for them to sign this fight, a fight that both sides have had difficulty agreeing to for years now. He expected everything to just fall into place and tried to fit it into his tight schedule. Why do you think Floyd did so much dancing in the media for this fight? He had to put on a ton of pressure just for any hope of this thing coming together. He gave it a shot, but in all reality there wasn't much hope for this falling into place in time. This isn't the first go around, they have been doing this song and dance for years now.

Both men had free schedules, May 5th is also Cinco De Mayo an important date for boxing, there was plenty time to make a deal and promote the fight. But instead Bob and Manny came out with lame excuses about an outdoor stadium in Vegas...... I mean it's funny how that only popped up once Floyd got serious about making the fight. It's also a ridiculously dumb idea because the MGM Grand is perfectly suitable for a mega fight like that and there's also the heat factor.

Ali, you have made it painfully clear what side of the fence you are standing on. So you can't possibly beleive that you don't hold a bias here?

I just hate the fact almost everyone on here is blinded by Manny's smiles and giggles, he's not a saint. Both sides take blame for this fight not happening these past two years, but Manny has no excuse for refusing to face Floyd on May 5th 2012, his schedule was free and he was perfectly healthy.
