| I don't really get to see a whole lot of fights outside of UFC and WEC. But from what i've read, Shields is one of the best. I've seen where a lot of people are picking Miller in the fight Saturday though. Who you guys got? | |

| I say Shields. That said, he had trouble taking down Lawler in the last fight but managed to sink in a guillotine. | |

| Miller's a fairly dangerous guy, but if Shields gets ahold of him (And he should), it's all over. | |

| I think Shields out classes Miller in nearly every aspect. I dont think the fight will be very close or take long at all. | |

| Shields striking is weak so I wouldn't say he outclasses him everywhere. | |

Just calling it weak is being awfully nice...

| It's tough to call. Jacare could not submit Mayhem in their first fight, so i don't think Shields takes this via sub. I think Mayhem is the superior striker. I think we have Shields/Okami part II here. If anybody remembers, that fight was pretty boring but i expect Shields to win by outwrestling Mayhem. | |

If Jacare couldn't sub Mayhem, I would be absolutely shocked if Shields was able to do it. Obviously people hear buy right into the Shields could sub any fighter in the world hype because what he did to Lawler. Guess what.....Mayhem subbed Lawler also.

| Yeah, I was going to say that sub'ing Mayhem will be tough and Mayhem is the better striker. It will probably come down to sub attempts from Shields, but I think Mayhem could potentially wrestle with Shields just fine -- he trains with King Mo, Hendo and Sokoudjou. | |

| Even though the great Ronaldo didn't get the sub, I think Shields does. | |

| Well, I think people are maybe underestimating Mayhem because he hasn't fought in the UFC since he lost a unanimous decision to GSP, he fought one fight in WEC, and he fought in Dream 9. However, he's fought and beaten some really good fighters, and he's lost to some really good fighters by decision. On Go on the Record, I picked Mayhem because Shields' striking has looked poor in all of his last fights. He might submit Mayhem, but Mayhem has just as good a chance at knocking Shields out OR subbing him. Mayhem has won a majority of his fights by submission, but has displayed better striking...by far! | |

| in regards to sheilds striking:
he didn't look half bad vs lawler. small sample, but the kicks by shields certainly kept Lawler at bay and imo frustrated lawler to the point of carelessness.
despite being dominated in the standup vs daley, shields did show good survival skills in that fight, he ate a bunch of shots and much like Cain vs Kongo, once the fight went to the ground it was full speed ahead.
still Mayhem is fluent in the sub game himself and being the naturally bigger I think he has a very real shot in this fight.
between this fight and the Werdum silva fight(not the mention the expected fedor sub) this card should be a submission skill showcase.

| Uhh Shields did nothing worth a damn striking in the Lawler fight. Lawler was coming forward and Sheilds would throw 1 kick while Robbie kept coming forward. His takedowns were all stuffed easily. | |

| I'll take Shields. Every time he fights, people say he is going to lose cuz his striking is terrible yet he keeps winning. | |
