| I was looking forward to A Good Day To Die Hard but the poor reviews and 12A rating has dampened my expectations I wasn't expecting a classic by any means but it looked like a decent action flick. | |

| The Bourne Legacy - A solid effort from Tony Gilory but I still feel this movie was completely unnecessary and they've ruined a perfectly fine trilogy by trying to milk the cow dry. 3.5/5 | |

| A Good Day To Die Hard - Weak, very weak. Honestly Bruce just showed up for a paycheck. 1.5/5 2/5 If I am being generous. | |

| The Five-Year Engagement - Decent. Not nearly as funny as Forgetting Sarah Marshall or Get Him To The Greek but still humorous. Plus it does have Emily Blunt who's a goddess! 3.5/5 | |

Get him to the Greek wasn't funny or good in any way. 5 year engagement had its moments and wasn't as chick flickish as expected. Forgetting Sara Marshal was very funny and much better than both.

| Watched Flight yesterday...it wasnt anything like i was expecting, which turned out to be a good thing. I didnt know they were gonna have a Leaving Las Vegas angle. The previews made it seem like Denzel was this do gooder pilot who saved some lives and was getting killed because he had some drinks the night before...but his character is a real POS. Good movie...and once again, John Goodman reminds the world why he is the man. | |

| Watched Skyfall again today on Blu Ray and I think I enjoyed it even more the second time, it's a modern day classic easily and holds up well against Casino Royale and the Bourne Trilogy.
Side Note - The Blu Ray version looks incredible, dare I say better than the theater.

| Lovely Molly: Kind of Paranormal Activity-esque in the delivery, but overall I liked it better than any of them to date. Soft spot in My heart for Halfsac from Sons being in it, one of the last films he ever made before dying last year. Things get real wild toward the end, though it's a bit random in that they never really explain anything. 3 out of 5.
Cold Light of Day: Not too bad. Not too good either. It was a bit all over the place and never really tied together at all. Not a terrible way to spend an hour and forty minutes though. I give it a 3 out of 5.
Silver Linings Playbook: A charming motherfucking movie. Dysfunctional families abound in this philadelphia based romantedy of sorts. Crazy people make for good watching for sure. I give it a 4 out of 5.
Mama: Lived every bit up to the hype surrounding it. About as well put together a classic style horror film as I've seen since the Orphanage. The final scene is slightly underwhelming and yet astoundingly heavy, It's a happy ending in it's own way, but mired in sadness at the same time. 4 out of 5.
Promised Land: Not Damon's best work, but it certainly was an interesting concept. I liked the twist, but I feel like it could have been done better if it focused more on the community/communities involved rather than Damon's character soulsearching. 3 out of 5.

So wrong. The bear shit was stupid. One if Pixar's worst that got hyped up too much. Finall saw Skyfall too. It was solid to very solid but still not as good as Casino Royal. Much better than QOS.

Finall saw Skyfall too. It was solid to very solid but still not as good as Casino Royal. Much better than QOS. Well I found Brave delightful and really enjoyed watching it. The worst Pixar movie by far is Cars but even their worst effort is better than 90% of the movies that are released each year. Best is a toss up between the Toy Story trilogy and Wall-E. I think Casino is superior because of the great chemistry between Craig and Eva Green but also because it gave us one of the best cinematic intros to ever grace the screen. However Skyfall's villain eclipses Casino's by miles, the introduction of Javier Bardem's character was genius.

| Life of Pi: I don't usually get into this kind of thing. But holy shit what a well done film. Top to bottom it's one of the best stories I've seen told in a very, very long time. The cinematography is astounding and it's captivating despite the bollywood feel to it initially. I gave it a 4.5 out of 5. | |

| That's My Boy - Quite possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen. Adam Sandler really needs to go away in exile for ten years and do some soul searching because the man child act has gotten incredibly stale and I almost cringe when appears on screen now. The only redeeming factor was getting to see how hot Susan Sarandon's daughter is. 1/5 | |

| Johnny Depp said he is putting the popcorn flicks aside this year. The confusion over which movie Johnny Depp will film next disappeared this afternoon when Johnny’s representatives officially confirmed his schedule for the next few months . . . and a busy schedule it is! First up is Transcendence, which is set to begin principal photography in April under the direction of Wally Pfister. Transcendence, which will be released by Warner Bros., will mark the Oscar-winning cinematographer’s first time in the director’s chair. According to Deadline, Pfister will direct from newcomer Jack Paglen’s screenplay, which was developed with Annie Marter, with the most recent draft by Noah Oppenheim. After Transcendence, Johnny will play the notorious (and still very much in the news) Boston mob boss Whitey Bulger in the film Black Mass, to be directed by Oscar-winner Barry Levinson ( Rain Man). Deadline reports that Jez Butterworth is writing a new draft of the screenplay by Mark Mallouk, based on the New York Times best-seller Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob by Boston Globe reporters Dick Lehr and Gerald O’Neill. Filming of Black Mass is scheduled to begin in the early summer of 2013. The Zone thanks Lou Lou 63 for breaking the news; you can read more about Johnny’s upcoming film projects on the Zone’s News & Views forum. The Deadline article is available HERE; The Hollywood Reporter confirms the news HERE. | |
