I thought it was exceptional. Kinda hard to describe, like a profound experience or something.
Didn't fully know what to expect, it sounded good as well as interesting. I got something much more then good and my interest has grown exponentially since finishing this viewing.
You think this movie will eventually pick up some steam?

I haven't seen a few that are on my list still, The Masters, Moonrise Kingdom and a few others. But it was a rare experience.

First glimpse of World War Z
Looks absolutely nothing at all like anything from the book.

Been a few years since I read it, but it could be the battle in Yonkers.

How do you think it stacks up against Casino Royale, Goldfinger and Goldeneye ?

I guess in January the Director was quoted saying this is supposed to be a trilogy. Have also read that in the post production nightmare this film has apparently been, Pitt, who owns the production company, and the director are not on speaking terms. So take all that for what it's worth.
I have mixed feelings because while this does look cool, I, for a fact know that World War Z was a great book. Hard to see how this is like that at this point. I'll definitely be seeing this movie in theaters though and I'm sure, I hope, it will be a pretty cool flick still.

I was just fucking around, I was actually pretty disappointed. Definitely preferred Casino Royale among recent ones

I think it might be time to revoke Maximus' man card.

Why post the camcorder quality trailer? I saw the trailer in the theaters, it looks decent.

I saw the Devils Rock last night. Thought it was decent for a low budget movie. the two main actors were actually very good.

Sometimes these trailers are exclusive to Itunes, Yahoo etc.

Ahh.
Saw The Watch. Was not let down because my expectations were low. Just not all that funy in the end. Handful of decent laughs or punchlines but very forgettable overall.
Also saw That's My Boy. Im a way it was just as poor as the Watch. Difference being I had more to laugh at with That's My Boy. It's like a 100 minute movie where they try to get a laug out of the view every 30 seconds. I'd say it had a bout a 5% success rate in that. With so much dumb and lame, a few decent laughs are bound to get through.
Neither are really seriously recommendable, just something to kill a morning on.

Saw Moonrise Kingdom. I thought it was really good. Probably the best Anderson film yet and one of the best of the year thus far.

I watched 3 movies over the weekend.
Cedar Rapids- it was OK, thought it would be a little better. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. I thought it would be a little better with John C. Riley and Ed Helms.
Tower Heist- it was also OK. About what I expected, but I wasn't expecting much. I also wouldn't go out of my way to watch this.
Chronicle- I liked this movie. It wasn't great, but I thought it was pretty cool. I love comedies, even bad ones, but this movie was much better IMO then the other 2 movies I watched over the weekend. It was slightly better then I expected.
All them I recorded on my DVR in HD, so it didn't cost me anything extra.

That movie looked really...I guess different would be the word. But looked interesting. Love the actors in the movie, I'll have to check it out.

John Carter, was not as bad as I thought it might be. In fact didn't warrant the brutal panning it received at all imo. That said it looked okay or as good as a desert western can, had moments of marginal excitement, several very borrowed plot elements, below average acting and an average to good story. It was a C.
