I forget, but does this site consider Drive to be a cult classic?
I fucking love that movie.
I don't. It was a nice flick that did poorly in the box office that had good reviews. It doesn't have the cult following and late explosion of followers.
Boondocks Saints, Donnie Darko, and Rockie Horror are example of cult classics.

Poor box office is exactly what qualifies for a cult classic.
It's barely been a year since it's release, given enough time and Drive will generate a following.

Praise and discussion of Drive seems to pop up more and more in my travelings across the internet and cosmic web. It has cult like appreciation.

Yeah, If Boondocks Saints had a huge box office Norman Reedus wouldn't be so underrated. In fact it was such a failure in theaters(though it only opened on a few screens really) that production was about 6mil and it only grossed just over 30k in theaters.

Gosling has completed shooting Only God Forgives in Bangkok, Thailand. It is his second collaboration with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn. He undertook Muay Thai training in preparation for the role. The story revolves around Gosling's mother, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, who orders her son to avenge his brother's death. Gosling has described the script as “the strangest thing I’ve ever read.”

Nicolas Winding Refn's Bronson was one of “the strangest movies I’ve ever seen”

I like movies like this sometimes, just kinda fun. Looks like the Hills Have Eyes Prypiat style.
