| Strikeforce is gone. But the UFC is still there. If Fedor comes off Dynamite! with quick win he will have a bit of momentum and a decent two fight win streak. One more solid win and I think they'd make him a reasonable offer. I bet he takes it. | |

| I think there is a decent chance. Less than 50% but not much less, but its been said that M-1 has gotten over the co-pro thing(not much a choice) but still probably want to be too involved. I just think M-1 would have to be out of the picture completely. If Golden Glory is too involved for Zuffa's tastes, id imagine M-1 even minus the co-promotion demands would have too much of a hand.
Dana acts like he wants no part of Fedor but it's really he won't even bother with M-1 anymore now that Fedor is no longer riding the streak..but with Fedor's recent splash in Russia with ratings, attendance, and even Putin attending his fight. Fedor, even if he's not the best anymore is still a huge commodity to reach the Russian market which is huge. The UFC has signed a few russian prospects recently and no doubt they covet that market. Plus Fedor still has a strong fanbase all across the world and is still a high level fighter.
Fedor was recently in the commercials for the upcoming season of Best of Pride on Fuel. It suggests that they'll start featuring his old fights.

| I agree that M-1 would basically have to be out of the picture. You really think that is a legitimate possibility? | |

| Fedor in the UFC is like Sting in the WWE. Neither will ever happen. |

Not with Showtime likely to keep M-1 in the mix. I expect Fedor back on Showtime at some point this year.

| It's a pipedream at best. They wouldn't pay Fedor near what he is used to so I doubt he would ever sign with the UFC. Plus, as it's been said already, M-1 would have to truly be a silent partner in all this for it to have even a snowballs chance to work out. I give it a 20% chance of happening just because M-1 won't give Fedor up even to see him fight in the UFC, and he won't leave them even if it means accepting less meaningful fights. | |

Do you consider the Monson fight a solid win? There was no way Monson was going to win, he was brought in as a sacrificial lamb. Now the Ishii fight I consider a step back from Monson. The problem for Fedor is going to be who does he fight. The better HW's are all locked up with Zuffa or Bellator.

Doubt there will be co-promotion especially since Viacom now owns Bellator. They want to build their own brand not help another company build their's.

| Monson is a solid fighter who'd survive in the mid range of the UFC's roster. Ishii is still an alright win. Short of walzing in on a one fight contract and KOing Konrad, what can he do? | |

I don't know if he'd survive at the mid range even. I'd pick Struve, Browne, Kongo, Barry, Beltran, Herman, Gonzaga, Hunt, Mitrione, Nelson, and Schaub to all beat him. He wouldn't do well in the division because his striking is just so poor. I'm sure he still hits hard but he's slow, he's old, his knees suck, his takedowns are garbage, and if he can't get it to the ground he's fucked.

| Not sure I would pick Monson to beat a single HW on the UFC's roster. His career is over | |

That's the problem he faces, he really doesn't have anyone to fight. He'll have to swallow whatever type of contract he may be offered and hope to win and renegotiate when the contract is done. He's lost all leverage to dictate money and everything else.

| I think anything is possible, but I think it more likely he ends up in Bellator, rather than the UFC at this point. | |
