One and only show scheduled on the Bellator website is March 2nd.
I guess it's not set in stone, but as u say, not much talk.

aight I guess, but with Bellator now as the clear #2 promotion, I think it's time to fill those gaps. No need for a tourney, just throw a couple shows out there, some superfights, or even some actual title fights.
I'm sure this will change once Spike is the primary residence, but in the meantime, I'm impatient.

Bantamweight Tournament really shaping up
They just signed former shooto Masakatsu Ueda for next seasons 135 tournament
Alexis Vila, Luis Nogueria, Marcos Galvao and 9-0 Rodrigo Lima are in as well.
That leaves one open slot...maybe Miguel Torres?

Russian middleweight and light heavyweight Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (15-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator this past month.
Now, the 23-year-old is expected to be part of Bellator's season-six middleweight tournament, sources told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). Vasilevsky is riding a 14-fight win streak, which included a second-round TKO of Tomasz Narkun to become the first-ever M-1 Global light-heavyweight champion. Ten of his 15 career victories have come via stoppage (five via knockout and five via submission).
The two-time world combat-sambo champion currently is based out of New Jersey with K-Dojo MMA.

Marx (18-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC), a veteran of the Jackson's MMA Series and Jeremy Horn's Elite Fight Night organizations, is one of the field's most experienced competitors.
Marx, a former member of the Utah Highway Patrol, now lives in New Mexico and is part of Team Jackson-Winkeljohn in Albuquerque. The 33-year-old is a three-time Utah high-school state wrestling champion who later wrestled at Ricks College, where he finished third in the 2001 NJCAA national tournament. MMA fans may remember as a featured fighter in the TapouT TV series.
Since his pro debut in 2003, Marx has 10 submission victories and four knockouts in 18 career wins. He's currently riding a three-fight win streak, which included a recent submission victory over Ray Robinson (10-2 at the time).
He joins other confirmed tournament participants Hiroshi Nakamura (14-5-4 MMA, 0-0 BFC), Masakatsu Ueda (14-1-2 MMA, 0-0 BFC), Alexis Villa (11-1 MMA, 2-1 BFC), Marcos Galvao (10-5-1 MMA, 1-2 BFC), Luis "Betao" Nogueira (12-2 MMA, 2-1 BFC), Rodrigo "Ratinho" Lima (9-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) and Ed West (17-6 MMA, 3-2 BFC).
The field's combined record is an impressive 105-23-7.

Ronnie Mann (21-4-1 MMA, 3-1 BFC) is joining a second Bellator tournament.
The English fighter, who posted a semifinal finish during the "Summer Series" tournament earlier this year, has joined the season-six featherweight tourney.
Bellator officials recently announced his participation in the eight-man field, which kicks off in March on MTV2.
Mann, a former Cage Rage and World Victory Road/Sengoku fighter, joined Bellator earlier this year. After knocking out Adam Schindler in the opening round of the "Summer Series" tourney, he suffered a decision loss to Pat Curran in the semifinals and was bounced from the tournament.
During the recently concluded sixth season, Mann had a successful return to competition and submitted Kenny Foster to help secure a berth in the season-six tourney. Mann is now 5-1 over his past six fights and 10-2 over the past four years. Aside from Curran, the Team Tompkins fighter's only other loss during the stretch came to notable Hatsu Hioki in the 2009 Sengoku featherweight grand prix.

I wish they were doin another HW tourney along with BW, FW, WW and MW. It is needed.
Still want to see more of Mike Hayes and Blagoi Ivanov who were injured out of this years Tourney. Want to see Prindle and Santos have a real fight. Groove, Sparks, Buenatello, Petruzzeli, yes please. Lure a guy like Gugenishvili, maybe someone like Kenny Garner, or Eddie Sanchez. Keep the HWs active but stagger their Tourney more than the lighter weights to a 6 week layoff as opposed to a 4.

Bellator officials today announced Carlos Alexandre Pereira (33-9-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) as an entrant in the eight-man tournament.
Additionally, as MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com)recently reported, War Machine (12-4 MMA, 0-0 BFC) – perhaps best known as UFC fighter Jon Koppenhaver before a legal name change – also is part of the tournament field, officials today confirmed.
The tourney kicks off in March on MTV2.

Yeah, his last fight was at 175 i think. They were pretty much hyping that he would be involved in the WW tournament. Good move. He seemed like a natural WW to me.

when his clean punches were bouncing off an unaffected Prangley I then concluded he would be better off at ww.

LW tournament almost full...a couple former WW tournament fighters going down a weight class.
I'm assuming Marcin Held will soon be announced in the tournament. Then there is Horodecki...looks like Eddie Alvarez won't be in it.

Is it possible that since Eddie is no longer Champion that he is free to sign elsewhere?

Not at the moment. Im pretty sure his champions clause had not taken effect at the time he lost the title so he still has fights left with Bellator from his original contract. I think it was only like 1 or 2 left..entering the tournament is pretty much another champions clause unless you lose. They will probably need to sign him to a new conract to get him in one of their tournaments. What they should do is make a rematch FOR the title...i know it's against their model but the first fight warrants a rematch and Bellator does not want to put Eddie in fights where he can build up a new streak and possibly leave. Especially not do that non-title superfight shit like Chandler-Eddie/ He can lose to Chandler again or win the title back and be under their clause again. Thats how i would set it up. I would not give Eddie the fight with Aoki or anything. I give him a chance to win the title back.

A very solid fighter, why is he not in the UFC? He was 3-2 and won his last 2 fights in the UFC? I really took notice of him when I saw him fight in Dallas vs Rick Story. It was a good fight until Story's strength took over on the ground.
