| Chael had come out and said he wasn't fighting Munoz and hinted that he would be getting the winner of tonight's fight. I think most thought it was canceled. There's been like 20 threads on Sherdog the past couple days about Sonnen "ducking" Munoz
Sonnen wins big | |

| Stupid fight to make as it takes out 1 of the next 2 guys who were getting a title shot. |

| Well there's no point in Chael waiting for Anderson, so long as he keeps winning(which there isn't any reason he can't win here) he gets the next shot. | |

| I'd rather he fight the winner of today. |

fuck protecting contenders. The way i see it, Munoz still needs to beat a Sonnen caliber MW.

| So who gets the title shot after the Sonnen-Munoz winner? you don't have to protect them in other divisions but 185 is the weakest division. |

| Anderson isn't going to be ready until summer and then you've got another couple months after that. There's plenty of time for someone to earn a title shot. | |

| That's not our concern. We want the best fights UFC can offer. Not interested in seeing the two top guys other than Spider fight lesser fighters in an attempt to mask lack of depth.
Spider is out until summer anyway, there is more than enough time for other MW's to put themselves back in the picture, or new guys to rise.
but to answer your question, if Bisping beats Miller he'll likely move up past the loser of Sonnen-Munoz. If Miller wins he would probably be another win away. Miller or Bisping is as good a win as any of Munoz recent ones.

| Munoz destroys both Bisping and Miller. |

| Well, then he can fight one of them and prove that statement after Sonnen wipes the mat with him. | |

The champion is injured so it makes sense to put 1 vs 2 at the moment. Bisping should face Maia next IMO. |

Bisping should face Maia next IMO. Maia or Wand rematch if the UFC want to keep him on an easy path to a title. Vitor or Paul Harris if the UFC want him dead.

| Bisping-Vitor is the obvious fight to make to me. Bisping should have to beat a real top ranked fighter | |

Vitor or Paul Harris if the UFC want him dead. The Wandi rematch crossed my mind but honestly Mike just doesn't have the pop to win that fight, even this version is too much for Mike. |

| Belfort-Bisping actually does make more sense, but they need to give Palhares a real fight now. His ranking in the UFC has seemed to remain stagnant where it should have only dropped briefly after the Marquardt fight. | |

| Bisping vs. Maia makes the most sense, Harris isn't even in the top ten, no way will Mike face him when he's close to a title shot. |

| In reality Michael shouldn't be close to a title shot. He hasn't beaten a top ten opponent since... Well ever. | |

| Why does Maia make more sense than Belfort?
because you don't want to see Bisping smashed when he's this close?
and Palhares isnt top 10...thanks to some oppressive matchmaking. But yeah, wouldnt want Bisping to lose via ligament disconnecting heel hook from a non top 10 fighter.

Because Vitor's already got a fight lined up with Rumble, Maia's free and is coming off a win over Santiago. Harris might be a beast to you hardcore fans but he's virtually unknown to the casual fans, high risk low reward. |

| Belfort-Rumble is in a month. They can make Belfort-Bisping(assuming Belfort wins) in a reasonable time frame.
Not a good enough excuse for Bisping to duck.

Not a good enough excuse for Bisping to duck. You guys just want to see Mike smashed again. |
