UFC Announces First FX Show For January 20, Two Fights Booked

The UFC has yet to announce a date or location, but on Wednesday,
they confirmed their first event on FX will be in January 2012 and have
already booked two fights.

Fresh off a second-round TKO win over Keith Wisniewski in his October UFC return, Josh Neer will battle fellow veteran Duane Ludwig, who pounded out a unanimous decision win over Amir Sadollah in mid-August.

Neer (32-10-1) is on a five-fight winning streak, having spent the
better part of the past two years in both Bellator and regional action
after being cut by the UFC, while Ludwig (21-11) is riding a two-fight
win streak after consecutive losses in his latest Zuffa stint.

In a must-win fight, Pat Barry has been booked against Christian Morecraft.
Barry (6-4) has lost two in a row and four of his last six. Morecraft
(7-2) is coming off a knockout loss to Barry friend/training partner Matt Mitrione in June. The 25-year-old is 1-2 in his UFC career.

UFC didn't announce whether these are main card fights or the soon-to-be Fuel prelims.

It's the equivalent of a Fight Night card. Both could be main card fights, just not main events. Duane vs Dentist should be fun to watch.

agree that both might make the main card, and i'd be fine with that! can't wait for the first BIG show they do on FOX, that's gonna be BANANAS!

Like both those fights.

Once again Barry will be the much shorter fighter. Hard to kick a taller guy.

Fights featuring the Dentist are usually good.

He is pretty lean for a HW. Not shredded, but still fairly lean.

im rooting for Barry but yea this is a must win for him. Neer vs Ludwig should be fun but what will the rest of the card look like?

These will be just like Spike Fight Nights guys...even something like Maia-Stann is pushing it.

Houston based Charles Oliveira, who trains under Gold Team patriarch
and Legacy welterweight champion Jorge "Macaco" Patino, has lined up
his next UFC opponent. According to sources, Charles will next take on
Robert "Problems" Peralta at UFC Fight Night 26 in Nashville, TN on
January 20th.

So this would make for a show on Jan.20, Jan.28 and Feb.4th. Nice.
