| What could we expect from a full 2 hr or even 3 hr show that has a big draw like Brock or GSP on it?
Does the good rating up the ante in Fox's mind? Do they begin to look to expand the amount of shows that will be on the network?
If the answer to question one is say 10 million viewers, which I don't see as unreasonable, I would think the answer to question 2 is a resounding yes.
And to take it another step fwd, if they do look to expand the network shows in a big way, that would pull more and more big names away from PPV. so, as has been my hope all along, are we beginning to see the light at the end of the dark ppv tunnel?

| It all depends on what date, it's a good thing for MMA that there probably won't be a NBA season. But even during the regular season NBA they should still do well. Would have been nice if they could have timed this event for the down time between college football regular season and bowl games. But a full card advertised on FOX would go a long way. I think more people will be interested in a full card and you could see ratings go up throughout the event. | |

| Peaked with 8.8 million viewers http://mmajunkie.com/news/26124/ufc-on-fox-peaks-with-8-8-million-viewers-for-velasquez-dos-santos-title-fight.mmaby Dann Stupp on Nov 16, 2011 at 3:45 pm ET MMA has a new most-watched fight in U.S. television history. This past weekend's UFC on FOX headliner between Cain Velasquez and new champ Junior Dos Santos peaked with a solid 8.8 million viewers on the FOX network, MMAjunkie.com ( www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed with industry sources. Within three minutes of the bout's conclusion, the audience dwindled to 5.9 million viewers. Overall, the event averaged 5.7 million viewers. UFC on FOX took place this past Saturday, Nov. 12, at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. While the UFC's landmark seven-year deal with FOX doesn't begin officially until 2012, the Nov. 12 event served as a "teaser" show. Only the main event aired on the one-hour FOX broadcast, and the entire undercard streamed on Facebook and FOXSports.com. Initial estimates put the average UFC on FOX audience at 4.64 million viewers and then 5.7 million viewers. The 5.7 average audience help up in the final ratings. The title fight's quick conclusion (Dos Santos knocked out Velasquez in just 64 seconds) obviously affected the overall average. The event also scored a 4.0 household rating among men 18-49 and 4.3 among men 18-34. In its counter-programming efforts, Spike TV averaged a respectable 719,000 viewers for a 9 p.m. ET "UFC Unleashed" episode that featured past Velasquez and Dos Santos fights. Additionally, an 8 p.m. ET episode averaged 923,000, and a 10 p.m. ET version averaged 787,000 viewers. In addition to breaking the UFC record, the UFC on FOX event also set a record for the highest-rated MMA event on U.S. network television. That record previously was held by 2008's "EliteXC: Primetime" event, which scored 4.3 million viewers (and peaked with 6.5 million for a Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson vs. James Thompson headliner) on CBS. Spike TV previously held the UFC record for the highest-rated fight. The cable station set that record in 2009 when episode No. 3 of "The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights" (which featured a pre-taped fight between "Kimbo" and Roy Nelson) drew 5.3 million viewers and a peak of 6.1 million. The previous high was set in 2007 when 5.9 million viewers tuned in for Spike TV's Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Dan Henderson UFC 75 main-event bout. (Overall, UFC 75 averaged 4.7 million viewers.) | |

| Very good ratings. Ice broken. So what is the next main event.
I want to say GSP or Brock Lesnar. Possibly Jon Jones.
HW title fight is the biggest fight you can pull off with out proven names. GSP and Brock are the only guarantee names to pull, but Jones is the golden child holding so many of White's eggs.

15 million easy! I know Kimbo is tongue in cheek, but he is still a very good draw. Surprised UFC let him go so quick(1-1 in the org), and surprised no one else(Bellator) has given him a go. But I do think it will be very interesting to see what the next fox card looks like. Can only hope that coming off a very solid rating, that they will push more chips onto the table.

Not sure Kimbo is a fit for Bellator. I guess he could have thrown him in the tourny format but they are trying to avoid "UFC rejects". Also Kimbo would probably want more money then you make in Bellator starting out.

| Is Kimbo making alot in Boxing? Did he make much in the UFC?
And I think he would provide a good fight with some of the undersized euro hwy's that have been in the Bellator tourney's.
And Bellator has seen it's share of UFC rejects. Saunders, Huerta, Neer, they were just talking Babalu, Head Hunter. So it is not something they do not do.

Doesn't seem like Bellator's style. Freak show factor over skill? Drawing power over talent? Just doesn't seem like a fit.

| Kimbo's talent level is way underated. He'd fit right in with the Bellator bunch. Mike 300 Hayes? | |

| http://mmajunkie.com/news/26144/ufc-on-fox-officially-draws-11607-attendance-for-1-07-million-gate.mmaThis past weekend's UFC on FOX event officially drew an attendance figure of 11,607 and a live gate of $1,072,187, California State Athletic Commission officials today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com ( www.mmajunkie.com).Those figures are down slightly from the announced fight-night estimates (14,019 and $1.1 million). Additionally, with approximately 1,700 unsold tickets, the event fell short of sellout status. Featuring a heavyweight title fight between new champion Junior Dos Santos and former beltholder Cain Velasquez, "UFC on FOX: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos" marked the UFC's live debut on network television and served as a teaser to the two companies' seven-year deal, which officially begins in 2012. Only the main event, which saw Dos Santos earn a 64-second victory, aired on FOX. The entire undercard streamed on Facebook and FOXSports.com. Of the 11,607 attendees, a total of 1,743 received free/complimentary admission. That results in average paid ticket price of $108.70. As a comparison, October 2010's "UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez" event, which also took place at Honda Center, officially drew 14,856 attendees for a live gate of $2,237,070. | |
