Im not a Meathead fan by no means but before last night if u thought he could be a contender i dont think last nights fight would make u all the sudden think he couldnt be. he has to regroup alittle and definitely have a better gameplan next time.

Kongo was backpedaling the entire night and barely landed any punches on the feet. Mitrione needed to be more aggressive

if anybody should have been more agressive, it was Kongo. The fight would have ended sooner.

Kongo's striking has progressively gotten worse over the last few years. Probably a product of working with the garbage team that is Wolfs Lair

Kongo's striking was just always overrated, it didn't get worse. The only people Kongo looked good against standing were bums(Al Turk, Evensen, Hardonk, Wellisch, Aldana). He was outstuck by Heath Herring, Yvel, Paul Buentello, and initially with Cro Cop until he kicked him the balls a million times. Travis Brown and Assuerio Silva exchanges were even. Mir dropped him like a bad habit and Berry was so close until he got careless. The best striker Kongo won exchanges with was Cain, who at the time was green and a work in progress.

I picked Matt to beat Kongo, but I was unsure of my pick because Mitrione didn't show good take down defense in the past. Kongo's best attribute is taking fighters down and pounding them, not striking. He did this too Al Turk, Bunetello, Evensen Cro Cop, and Herring(he lost because Heath did a very good job at defending Kongo's strikes and getting the fight stood back up by the ref.) Mitrione is a better striker than Kongo. He showed great foot movement, and landed more frequently and cleaner against Kongo. If he poured it on more he could have hurt Kongo, but in the end he fought stupid and Kongo fought his fight.
