I believe he does. In his last two fights, he just barely lost to Franklin(I personally would have liked to see him win that decision due to damage) at 195, and then beat up Bisping in his very first trip to MW proper. Wanderlei Silva has a long and storied career, and has proven to be highly competitive with the best MW's in the UFC(I believe in Michael Bisping more than most), so I think he deserves some consideration in the top ten.

This is our current rankings. Okami hasn't won a fight since The Ultimate 2008, so I question his ranking. I had Santiago in my top ten, but I would favor ranking Silva over Kalidov, the man who defeated him, considering how close the Franklin fight was, and the Bisping win. I would have no issue ranking him in the bottom half of the top ten. Could he beat a lot of these guys? Absolutely.

I agree. I think he's still relevant after last night.

Bisping is a really good win at MW.

If he beats Akyama (who is in a lot of top 10s) he's def in there.

I think he's in there now. When you have the resume that Wandy does, you don't need to prove yourself too much, especially at a lighter weight.

And 185 is not the most stocked division in the sport.

Cap, your right in he does have a good resume but he really needs another fight against another name opponent to show he is back. The MW top 10 is no joke. Not with the like of Sonnen, Marquardt, Maia, and Dan Henderson in there.

We had 13 voters in our last divisional rankings. Hopefully near that many people will express interest and we can develop a bi-monthly, or how ever often we update the lists, Forum P4P ranking.

im down to do an official top 10 for the site. That would be cool with me.

already put my 2 cents in on the other thread. I don't like the list being more the 15 max. Just makes it more fun for me, I like the list being small and exclusive.

We've done a top 20 before, and there were definately some interresting p4p lists in that.


I'd vote for a top 10 just to keep it pretty easy.

I figured it was already done. We used to do it every month back in the day. I voted for top 10 p4p.

I like top 10. It becomes easier to sort out for an overall ranking here. Also that much more prestigious.

Muay hit the nail on the head, particularly the prestige. the bottom half of the list moves more than the top. For the most part, almost everybody agrees on the top 4, but only the top three are interchanged for first place. The real fun begins after fourth place. I can't wait for one of the top 3 falls from grace, then we will see some excitement.

Well things could start shaking up any time now. BJ is seriously considering a move to Welterweight, GSP wants to move to Middleweight, Anderson could grow a third arm and start fighting guys two at a time...
