Hell yes! Method Mans first album is loaded with great songs. You can't go wrong with any Wu Tang imo.

Check out GZA's first album. Liquid Swords is one of my all time favortie rap songs.

For whatever reason Jay-z has long been on the outside looking in from the "hardcore rap fan" perspective. I've seen may responses to the mention of Jay-z along the lines of "Nas is way better".

But Jay unlike any other rapper, has been able to stand the test of time, continuing to produce albums that people listen to.

And it's way too easy to bring a couple guys who died 10 yrs ago in as models to denounce Jay-Z. For we do not know how biggie or Pac would have progressed with time. At the least their styles would have changed, they would have progressed, this is the natural course of any artist who continues to make art. how would they have changed? no one knows that. but more then likely they stop producing music altogethor, for that seems to be the fate of most.

granted Im by no means a rap aficionado, but this is my take nonetheless.

And I kind of like this. Certainly not same old shit, which is my main criticism with rap today.
