2 straight losses each and both have pretty good overall records....guess Bellator aint fuckin around.
First i heard of them cutting guys because of losses, both guys heavily featured the past few seasons.

Same, I found it a little surprising although Hornbuckle has been in 3 WW tourneys already and has 2 consecutive first round losses. They could want some new blood there. Surprised they didn't keep Reis around as long as he was interested in 135

Reis was in the bantamweight tournament and went to sleep in the first round vs Eduardo Dantas. I'm guessing that was his last chance. He's been with Bellator since the start.

They were probably over priced at this point since at one point in the last two years they were considered some of the top ranked or hyped talent in Bellator.

I doubt this is an issue of pay, seems more like it's based on performance.
