WTF? Sonnen actually making sense and backing another fighter!

wtf... i find myself in disbelief but im siding with him on this

I guess it's just a coincidence that the length of the fight was a major factor in his last fight? Sure you would rather have 20min fights, then you would be Champ.

This guy could be helping Pigmy in Kongo like Justin Wren and I would still think he was working some angle.

Is 25 mins to long? Idk that's a hard question we've seen fights that didn't need to go that long in the past but we've also see just as many fights imo were 15 mins wasn't enough time and we're all wanting more. That's a tough one I'm undecided

I think 25 minutes is a perfect amount of time, although Im not the 1 fighting that long.

I agree with him in terms of MMA, the 25 minutes forces guys to conserve early in fights, and often, they still gas late.

I don't agree with the boxing analogy though. there are plenty of GREAT fights that went the distance, or at least deep into the championship rnds. How many 5 rnd MMA fights can we say have been great?

Gil Vs Thomson 2 without the multiple illegal blows was a pretty good 5 round decision, but yeah I hear you. The other light weight title fight was also, but just points to what I always thought the problem was, not the time.

Lightweights have more stamina and can go longer. Would be much harder for HW's or LHW's. That's why I think they should go to 3min rounds. 5 for non title fights and 7 for title fights. Max 21 min not the 25 now.
