I train with this guy. He's improved to 10-1 since then and has tightened up his skills dramatically. Wrestling will always be his bread and butter, but he has strong BJJ skills (high ranking purple belt) and his boxing/muay thai is very strong. The guy also is in ridiculous shape, he'll jump rope for an hour, and his heart rate doesn't even go up.

Look for him to finally make his UFC debut in the late summer/early fall. After all the TUF guys he's beaten (McSweeney in particular) and all the guys who faked injuries to get out of fights with him (Sean Salmon, Rolles Gracie Jr.), it's about time he got some recognition.

He looks set for Seth Petrazelli on the undercard of Lesnar-Carwin. He's ready for the next step.

Looks like the brought Seth in to be a lamb ready for slaughter.

Is he hispanic or Brazilian?

Ricardo is of Puerto Rican heritage. He had a brief stint with the PR national wrestling team some years back.

In a fight he otherwise looked like total ass in. That bout was entertaining but he looked terrible. Seth gassed, otherwise dude already gets his walking papers.

Yeah, he did look really bad. I think the inactivity combined with the "octagan jitters" got to him. I think he'll do better the next fight. Still, making a guy scream while tapping him isn't the worst way to make a UFC debut.

I'm just wondering if he can still make 205, as he is WAAAAAAAAY too small to be fighting at heavy in the UFC.

Not sure what part of the fight it happened but he hurt his knee and broke his jaw.

That nasty uppercut might have broke the jaw and hurt his knee by the way his legs buckled with that shot.

Shows a lot of toughness to come back from that kind of punishment. Toughness is important, but more important is fighting ability. Not sold on dude until I see that demonstrated.

I haven't seen him since the fight, i'll have to ask him how Seth's hammer to the back of the head felt, once he can speak again
