The usually reliable Luke Thomas from BloodyElbow talked about Wandy vs. Akiyama at 108 rumour on twitter.

That matchup makes a lot of sense.

108 has a lot of potential if rumoured fights go down.

Finally a somewhat easy fight for Wand. It is about damn time. it seems like he has fought and lost to nothing but world beaters for years now. Dan, Cro Cop, Liddell, Rampage, Jardine, & Franklin all in a row....SHIT!

No I agree this isn't quite a "should be" victory, but he's gotta be a big fav and if he makes weight he's going to be huge and pack a punch Akiyama has never seen.

This is an interesting move for 2 reasons. 1 This will help Sexyama a lot. 2 Wand is close with Xtreme and trained there before he opened up his new place. I wonder if this causes any conflict.

Can Wandy really make Middleweight I am not convinced he looked gassed in that catchweight fight with Franklin.

Awesome fight! It reminds me of the old Pride days when they would throw any Asian hero to Wanderlei.

Ya, this is a continuation of Wanderlei vs Japan. He should fight Yushin Okami if we wins this one and if he wins that, title shot!
