| Simpson vs Stann actually makes sense since Simpson has a wrestling pedigree. | |

Perfect fight to see if Stann can be effective against a good wrestler. Simpson is older and not an in his prime wrestler, so it would offer Stann another look at the style, without necessarily throwing him in against a wrestler who is at the top of his wrestling game. Simpson had some trouble with the power of both Tom Lawlor and Chris Leben, so Stann should do alright in that fight as long as he really focuses on keeping it standing.

| Buy as a 6-10 MW for a bunch of years, maybe gets a shot or two, doesn't take the belt. For as good as Stann looked Saturday, Santiago looked as bad. | |

| I agree, and will be buying as a contender in 2012. He has an element of danger about him that makes him game to KO most people he squares off against. How ready he is for a rat mat that can get and keep him down will be interesting to see, but if he moves towards attaining a good Chuck style take down D, he could do some interesting things. After UFC 130, I'm swapping their positions. Stann is in my top ten leapfrogging guys like Bisping, Maia, and Belfort, and Jorge drops to the 11-15 range. | |

| Sonnen would probably out wrestle the shit out of him, he loses to guys with real good subs off there back. (yes I know Stann won by triangle a couple fights ago) | |

| Stann would upset a fading Vitor. Good fight idea though. | |

| Stann if I remember correctly has power but slow hands, yes/no? Thinking Vitor's hand speed would have him landing first. I'm not writing off Vitor cause he lost by one of he greatest kicks ever, he still has plenty left IMO. But yeah thought it be a sick fight, make it happen Dana. | |

| He has good speed but not Vitor at his best speed. However Vitor isn't always his best and I don't think he will do anything but decline. | |

| Forgot Vitor was booked to fight Sexyama, I think he wins that, so a fight with Stann would make complete sense afterwards, kind of thinking this happens now. Who else is there for Stann? Maia/Munoz winner and that's about it, Vitor would be a better fight. Declining, eh sure, but still he could beat a bunch of the other top MWs.
Wait just remembered Wandy, he beats Leben him and Vitor might happen.
Stann vs Jacare. | |

I agree but I don't blame Wand for that as he has been out for a long time. |

| I think Wand if he beats Leben will end up being Chael's first fight back if this nonsense ends this month when he goes to reapply
I think Stann gets Munoz/Maia winner although Vitor would be a cooler fight

| I think Stann beats Maia and Wanderlei but loses to Vitor. |

| I know I'm late to the party, but I buy Stann as a legit top 5-7 type, but not a real challenger to Anderson. | |

Yeah that's why I passed on tha matchup, he kind of ducked Vitor too, but I could ee that getting made over Stann/Vitor if Wandy beats Leben.

| Man someone is going to beat him eventually. You can't win forever and the laws of probability work against the Spider's favor. Someone will defeat the aging Silva eventually. There will be a chosen one. Stann is a candidate to be that One. | |

| I don't see it being Stann, still leaves his head pretty upright, slower puncher then Anderson, not really such a strong wrestler he's going to take him down.
Sonnen doing what he did again, but for 25 minutes could be the guy
I'd say Jacare but they train together, to me he has the kind of game to beat him too.
