| Dana has actually said many times that in his opinion the best fighter outside the UFC is Nick Diaz. |

I think the Evans-Davis winner gets the next shot. The Rampage-Hamill winner fights the Rua-Forrest winner for the next shot. Machida gets Bader-Ortiz winner next. Dana was thinking poorly of Machida at that time, because Machida had been fighting lackluster fights. Machida wrecked shop on Randy in impressive fashion. Be on the look out for Dana to change his mind again.
Also, why would Machida vs. Bader/Ortiz even be an option? That would be a god awful move on the UFC's part, and an even more god awful move on Machidas career for signing to the fight. The winner of the Bader/Ortiz fight, will definitely be against a loser of one of the contender fights. More than likely Forrest.
Im not a Machida nut hugger at all, but... Machida, Rampage, Shogun, Forrest, and Davis (depending on his next showing) are title contenders. Bader, Hamill, and Tito, are not. Machida needs to beat a top 10 guy before he gets another title shot. Beating Couture at this point in time is not that impressive. |

| He can get a shot by beating Bader or Forrest. He doesn't have to fight Rampage. |

| Fighting Rampage gets him a shot right after Rashad. Beating Bader wont get him a shot. Forrest, yes, but thats wouldnt be for a while.
I stick to my word, Machida vs. Rampage 2. The first fight was close anyways.
PS, arent you a Machida fan? I figured you would want your favorite fighter to get a title shot ASAP.

I agree but rampage too should have a good win over a top 10 guy and not a contreversial one. He hasnt had a convincing win over a top 10 guy since he beat jardine who was on his way out of the top 10. That was more than 2 years ago. Then again dana loves jackson for some reason so i so see jackson getting a title shot before he even beats a top 10 guy

Ok so dana says alot of this its bs at times. Just like its bs that a rematch between rampage/machida wouldnt be necessary and just like it was bs that the sf champs wouldnt be able to compete against the elite in the ufc. Know what , i'll agree with u, machida/rampage 2 wouldnt be needed. We already saw who the better, harder hitting fighter was even though he didnt win. But dont worry, if there is a rematch we know jackson can win again however his only chance will be like he did last time, by having octogon control and holding on to machida against the cage for the majority of the fight.

Bader and Forrest are top 10 guys and Machida beating either is good enough for a title shot, especially since he is a former champ. In saying that though I don't want Machida to get a title shot before Evans or Rampage. |

Like Bobbit said, the only reason Bones got the shot was because Rashad was hurt, and Rampage turned it down. So, no, Bader is not good enough. The guy has a longgg ways to go. I have Hamill being ranked higher than Bader.

| Hamill's biggest win is Tito. Bader recently beat Lil Nog which is more impressive. Also Bader's only loss is to Jones. Bader is ranked higher. |

Well actually, most fans that saw the fight believed it was a contreversial dec wether they believed jackson deserved it or not. Also we already have mention how the judges have gotten it wrong in the past as well as how danas opinion at times is just coming out of his ass. As far as your opinion, well thats fine, no problem with that. Others see different things n fights and judge fights differently. U must be the kind that gives takdowns alot of points during a fight wether they produce damage or not. In the end ,rampage hasnt had a convincing win in more than 2 years. Once again i have no problem giving rampage the w over machida but he decision him, he didnt beat him. Machida is still the better harder hitting striker/fighter

| Rampage won, Machida was the better fighter. No one disagrees. Would anyone feel comfortable picking Page again? | |
