I don't really have too many favorites in the lower weight classes, I like watching the vast majority of them fight. Was a huge Aldo fan on his way up but I have a natural dislike for anyone associated with Ed Soares.

You're not a fan of Faber, Torres or Cruz? lil Joe? Mighty Mouse? Kid?

I like watching them fight, wouldn't label any of them as a favorite fighter because I wouldn't care at all if they lost

That's pretty much how I feel about the LWs I listed. Some of the others too. I just picked the guys I'd prefer to win. Like I can't think of a LW(besides Nate) that I would root for to beat Gil.

That's cool. So they don't allow you to judge those guys? Do you pull yourself off or do they? Also was he in the 2009 ADCC?

The Commission won't let you judge any fight where your associated with the fighters. I have never trained with 2 of the guys fighting but because of the association I cannot judge those fights. There have been a few times I've had to miss a fight because of them training at Almeida's even though I never met them before.


Yes he was in the 2009 ADCC, he kinda got screwed in his match. During the match the ref gave -2 points to Abreu. So with time running out Tom just stayed as he was since it was 0-0 but Abreu had -2 stalling points, so Tom would win the match. After the match was over the ref went over to the scorer's table and changed the -2 from Abreu to DeBlass causing him to lose.

I worked UFC 111 in Newark, NJ. I judged 2 of the fights, one ended in the first a submission and the second went to a decision it was Hamman vs Wallace. I didn't work this past UFC because I worked the Strikeforce show in January. I've also done Bellator cards.

I have a pro show this Friday in Atlantic City and another Pro show in Baltimore on the 30th.
