Scott Coker: There have been "preliminary discussions only" for Hendo
vs. Fedor. Wouldn't be in June/July when Hendo wants to fight next.

According to Fighters Only:

Sources close to the Russian say he is giving serious consideration to the prospect of fighting newly crowned Dan Henderson at 205 pounds.

The prospect of the fight was put to him by Strikeforce before the weekend’s Henderson/Feijao showdown.

Negotiations are underway and - if past experience is anything to go by
- are likely to go on for some time. But the fight is of interest to
all parties and is likely to happen later this year.

Dan Henderson says he'll give it one more go early this summer before taking time off to be with his family.

Then it's back to the gym in the fall and a possible fight at the end of the year, if all goes well.

Who's next on his list? Henderson today told MMAjunkie.com Radio

Mousasi vs. Mike Kyle is logical. But the new champ said he's also open
to a future meeting with his favorite fighter, Fedor Emelianenko.

"Obviously, he's still one of the top guys out there in the world, and
it would be a huge challenge," Henderson said. "It would interest me to
go up."

If it happened in Dallas, I'd flip the fuck out.

Hendo said "INTERST ME TO GO UP" which ;eads me to believe that hendo will fight for the LHW title and then fight Fedor at 215Lbs. I don't see Fedor aking the cut to LHW.

I love the fight in general, and love the fight from Hendo's side, but thinking how Fedor is the greatest HW ever and just 2 fights ago had all these great potential HW matchups kind of crazy how there's LHW talk these days.

Even before Fedor took a loss at HW, i've always wanted to see him at LHW because there is simply more rounded skill guys at 205.

If Fedor doesn't change his training he Won't hang with the elites... Riding horses won't cut it anymore

They could be tougher matchups Kings, well the LHW division as a whole and in terms of skill matchups. Still, not what I expected 2 fights ago.

Hendo vs Fedor > GSP vs Anderson

Hendo is willing to move up. Fedor is considering moving down. A 215-220lb catchweight could be possible. So with all the options here there seems to be a good chance this fight gets made.

Fedor would be something at 205. Take the best fighter in the world and have him fight against people his own size, not 20, 30, 40, 50+ pounds bigger than him. He would do some damage.

Ignoring belts and current weight classes. Fedor competing in catchweight fights for the rest of his career would be fine with me. Just to wonder off in dream land for a min, how sweet would it be to see Fedor take a string of catchweight fights in the UFC? Fight around 215-220lbs vs guys like Rampage, Randy and Shogun.

The alleged GOAT just got his ass beat twice and now we want to put him in against one of the best wrestlers with a nasty right to boot? I wuld rather watch shit fights on M-1.
