| nah but because of the aggresiveness he did make it a dog fight and I gave him the third and the second was kinda close but diego got tooled so bad in the first that should of been the deciding round 10-8 imo. | |

| Stuffing takedowns should count for more. I kind of figured that's how Machida won the first fight with Rua, by blocking his takedowns every round. I guess they didn't factor in this fight at all. | |

| I think we need to ditch the judging by round system or start giving out more 10-10s, 10-8s and the occasional 10-7. That was it could be scored more accurately. We all saw Kampmann dominate the first. The next 2 were close (I have Kampmann) and obviously could have gone either way since there is this controversy. So why not score it like R1 - 10-9 Kampmann R2 - 10-10 R3 - 10-10 Final: Kampmann wins 30-29.
or
R1 - 10-8 Kampmann R2 - 10-9 Diego R3 - 10-9 Diego Final: Draw
Both these outcomes seem more accurate than what the judges did who almost always stay on a rigid 10-9 scoring.

| Like this: Diabaté defeated Cantwell via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–25, 30–26). | |

Both these outcomes seem more accurate than what the judges did who almost always stay on a rigid 10-9 scoring. I've been on this kick for ever. I've never understood why in a 10 point system the seperation between fighter tallies is 1 point 95% of the time. Im thinking the half point system they are trying out at the lower levels(in Ca I think) will provide similar results. Hopefully it makes it's way through.

| How is adding the half point system going to improve judging when the judges already aren't fully applying the guidelines for the system thats already in place? That half point system may work in kickboxing where only strikes are being graded but I honestly don't see a flaw in the scoring system, I see a flaw in the people incorrectly applying it. | |

Both these outcomes seem more accurate than what the judges did who almost always stay on a rigid 10-9 scoring. So, in other words...the fighter who does more wins? Interesting concept. Ditch the whole system all together. It might make for less exciting decision announcements from Buffer but Kampmann-Diego would be an easy call if we went by who landed more effective shots, who controlled the actions, and who did the most damage throughout the fight. Obviously Kampmann landed more effective shots, obviously he controlled the action because if Diego was controlling the action the fight would have been on the mat, and damage was easy...the numbers just complicate something that the japs would've had no problem with and would've gotten right.

I think it would give the judges the freedom to discern a close rnd form a really close rnd, As well as discerning a completely dominant rnd from a clear winning, but not dominant rnd. Currently I feel their is a stigma which keeps Judges from scoring rnds by wider margins. they hold too tight to the way fights have been scored historically. These guys cannot bring themselves to score a rnd 10-7

| Stigma or not they are not using the system in place correctly. How are these same people to use a different system with more to it if they aren't even using a barebones type one now? Obviously training is an issue because we see this all over in all sorts of states with different athletic commissions, even other countries. Again, a new system doesn't seem to be the issue here. Personel does. | |

| I had it 29-28 Kampmann. It was a great fight and Diego fought his ass off and weathered a huge storm by Kampmann. | |
