Aaron Rodgers already a better QB then Favre ever was

Rodgers has some of the best recievers overall in the entire league. We're talking Colts/Saints type recieving core here. Bird is right in a way. These recievers need someone who can thread the eye of the needle in tight spots and Ben isn't always that guy, he can put it up to someone who's going over the top but when he throws into triple coverage(as Rodgers did when Ryan Clark almost came up with the interception) Ben's passes tend to get knocked down/picked off.

Yeah Im not saying Ben is better than Rodgers but to say Bens recievers are better than Rodgers just isnt true.

Yeah Packers have a deep recieving core. When it comes to the #3 and 4 WRs on roster, they are the best in the league. People thought that depth would give Steelers problems and they were right. Nelson and Jones were mismatch problems.

He's right up there with Manning and Brady during their peak years. If he can do this for 4+ seaons then he will be on par or pass them.

His career will pass them if he has longevity, but he is better than both of them at their best.

04 Peyton & 07 Brady are both better than Rodgers without a doubt in my mind.

Are you saying that this season he is playing QB better then any other QB has played any other single season? That is an argument you can have. But it's kind of like calling JDS the best HW of all time. Consistency over time is a major factor, no way around that. This is premature ejaculation, hold your wad a little longer before releasing it.

Careers are judged by careers, performance is judged by playing. What better performance at QB have you seen by a player?

Again are we talking about 1 single season? A 2 season stretch? I fucking hate Tom Brady but he had stretch of very very impressive QB play. I think this is just another example of the prisoner of the moment mentality by everyone. Every great game that just happened is the "best ever". IMO he doesn't have the complete body of work that would justify GOAT status midway though his career. I think you unfairly trying to define what the greatest of all time means. All you are really saying is Aaron Rodgers is playing better right now than anyone ever has at that position. But is the peak the only factor in the equation? When you are talking about best ever QB and not just the best season ever by a QB, I don't think that is a fair way to analyze it.

You get why Jim Brown is universally considered a greater running back than Emmitt Smith in spite of Smith holding a slew of career records. Because it's not about time.

Based on your argument I would say Adrian Peterson's peak looked better then Emmitt's. I think your argument is silly and premature. But that is just my thoughts on the subject. I don't think it is my inability to think outside the box as you suggest. I also prefer to have a cool down time, hard to be 100% objective with things fresh on your mind. I could argue that as a factor in your line of thinking.

There's no argument still for who plays(ed) better, anywhere. The talk is more and more, 'is this the greatest performance at QB the league has ever seen" Jumping the gun would be if people around the league were asking that in 2010, they are asking it now. You have guys like Tom Brady saying,"it's impossible to play the position any better than he's playing it right now", and Kurt Warner, " I've never seen anyone play the quarterback position this consistently", Joe Thiesmann, "Rodgers, in my personal opinion, is the greatest quarterback when it comes to throwing the football ever to play the game", Jim Kelly, "Aaron Rodgers is playing at a higher level than any QB in league history, he is the best player in the game". This isn't just in the moment talk, this a confidence leve built out of the players performance of the past couple of years that allows these individuals to make such comments.

Sorry man I just don't agree. I have seen some pretty well respected former players make gaga statements over Peyton and Brady in the past after some of those amazing seasons they have had. People are always infatuated with what is going on RIGHT NOW. I don't think it is either fair or accurate to comment on Rogers as the GOAT at this point. I'll leave it there.
