Melvin Manhoef vs Tim Kennedy at "Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson" card

Middleweight Melvin Manhoef (24-8-1 MMA, 0-1 SF) is the latest addition to next month's "Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson" event.

The Dutch-Surinamese fighter announced his participation via Twitter today, though an opponent was not revealed.

"Strikeforce: Columbus" takes place March 5 event at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and the night's main card airs on Showtime.

The event coincides with the Arnold Sports Festival, a three-day sports and fitness exhibition that annually draws tens of thousands attendees.

Manhoef, who's also an active K-1 kickboxer, fights for Strikeforce for only the second time. He first appeared in January 2009 and suffered a first-round knockout loss to Robbie Lawler.

Combined with that loss, Manhoef now has dropped four of his past six fights. Prior to the skid, the DREAM veteran had posted a 6-1 mark (with six knockout wins) from 2007 to 2008. In fact, 23 of his 24 career MMA wins have come via knockout.

there we go, that kinda makes up for Mayhem not being on the card

if they give him a striker it's a nice add.

Davis has fought at WW for most of his career. I'm sure he would take that pay check.

Thats what will happen! Good fight but Manhoef to me dosent even have a "kickers" chance in this fight. This fight was hand picked for Kennedy. Im sure most wont agree but its the worst matchup Manhoef could get.

I agree, Melvin couldnt stop a takedown if it was coming from me!

they didnt say why they took him off the card, but my guess is mayhem vs diaz... IDK though

eh that doesn't matter, he could still get the shot after Diaz-Miller. Even if Nick loses he will still be WW Champ.

Daley is an overated one trick fighter, look at his first fight outside the UFC no doubt he has power but do people really want to see Diaz sub him? I hate fights were the outcome can be 90% predicted. No need for that fight to happen yet till Daley shows some growth with his ground skills.
