| a picture came out today showing Dana and Lorenzo Fertitta posing with Oleg Taktarov. At UFC 50 when Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie were inducted into the hall of fame the UFC had a fan vote to determine the 8 most popular fighters in UFC history, Dan Severnm Shamrock, Gracie, Oleg Taktarov and Tank Abbott were among those voted the most popular amongst fans. I hope he gets inducted that would be awesome.

| Well he was 6-2-1 in his UFC career, winning the UFC 6 Tournament and going to the finals at the Ultimate Ultimate 1995. His only 2 losses in the octagon were to Dan Severn. Wins over Marco Ruas, Tank Abbott, Dave Beneteau and a draw to Ken Shamrock. Even though I think he lost to Shamrock he had a very impressive UFC run and only lost to arguably the 2 best fighters in the UFC at the time.
Also, Oleg was tough as shit, the guy choked Tank Abbott out and then passed out, he was bleeding all over the place and didnt want the fight stopped when it was. I think he is hall of fame worhty, especially from that era. | |

| I agree that Oleg deserves to be in the hall. I have never seen a man take more punishment in a fight than him, when Severn was just dropping knee after knee on the guys head and he wouldn't quit. Eventually John McCarthy stepped in and called the fight for Severn, but Oleg was tough as nails. | |

| sad news though I read somewhere that Dana and Lorenzo where meeting with Oleg to duscuss a partnership where Oleg secures the top russian talent al over the former USSR and assures UFC doesnt miss out on the next Fedor | |
