| Another positive aspect of putting all the top fighters in the tourney is, if someone gets hurt, or bails for roids, or whatever, SF then has a solid pool to draw from to fill the hole. If Cormier or SDR is added to the fray in the spot of anyone outside of Fedor or Reem, then the tournament does not suffer terribly.

| Imagine if the Reem loses? That puts the HW title and extra marque matchups on backorder for a hot minute. Champions losing in the tournament is a great way to ;
A; demonstrate how deep you as a promotion be rollin'
B; give yourself many more attractive options post tournament with all the lose ends and storylines created.
This my friends is how MMA GP's and K1 have always rolled. And no one talk any noise about K-1 and Pride and going out of business, they're bankrupt because of other factors. If they were on the up and up bookwise these promotions would be making money hand over fist and Pride would still be here.

| I'm guessing they are going to do this like the Super Six. The belts is secondary to the trophy, but there is more than one flying around in the boxing tournament. I think Overeem-Werdum should be seperate and they should open up the last couple slots for guys like del Rosario or Cormier. | |

I want a tourney with the best fighters.
A tourney that lacks the top 4 fighters lacks all it's excitement. So does one where the #1 contender for the belt fights the Champion in the 1st rd, and the best matches are over after the 2nd rd. That setup makes more sense for SF

Completely familiar, and the Champ losing in the 1st rd takesgusto out of the tourney IMO. This gave me an idea though

| As opposed to a Werdum vs Reem or Fedor vs Reem or Werdum vs Fedor Final yes.
Though excitement wasn't brought up, just the logical natre of the macthups, a Reem vs Barnett fight would be good (barring Barnett being cleared at some point), perhaps as a 1st or 2nd rd fight though
