| Well this would make the most sense. It's not a HW tournament so much as the natural shifting of a division. Guys who go on a run fight for the title, or at least it should work that way.
Overeem ain't 215 anymore. He punishes Werdum on the feet and doesn't get bullied on the ground, cruising to a win and the winner of, hopefully, Silva/Fedor.

| The top 4 seeds should be, not in any order, Fedor, Reem, Barnett, and Werdum. Yet they have Overeem set to face Werdum. They should split that fight up and have one fight Sergei and the other fight AA. | |

| Ignore the tournament format. Silva, Werdum, and Overeem should not have to fight Sergei, AA, or Rodgers, until they have strung together some wins. Whoever survives out of Barnett, AA, Rodgers and Sergei would actually deserve a shot at the title. Fedor because of his status should be one win away, especially if it's over a surging Silva, and Overeem/Werdum is the rightful title fight. | |

| I'd rather have seen
Bracket 1 Reem vs Rogers Barnett vs Silva
Bracket 2 Fedor vs Sergei Werdum vs Arlovski

| Werdum and AA already fought one of the most boring fights on record.
Reem crushed Rogers.
Why do people want to see guys compete for the title when they haven't done anything to earn it?

| Reem shouldn't even be in the tourney
Barnett should not be a top 4 seed over Silva at this point
Reem vs Werdum in the 1st rd, might as well just gave Werdum a Title shot....

Reem vs Werdum in the 1st rd, might as well just gave Werdum a Title shot.... Barnett should be 5 which I have no problem with either way he'd end up fighting Silva.

Reem vs Werdum for the belt. winner gets the belt and goes forward in tourney Bird has it right. Of coarse u want the best fighters in the org in the tourney. Stack the tournament. Make the tournament bad ass. Last man standing is champ.

Seriously? The belt should be possibly lost in the first rd of the tourney? The number 1 contender is facing the Champ in the 1st rd? why would the belt keep getting passed along?

| LA I understand you're not familiar with Pride Fighting Championships but this was par for the course for tournaments there. It's smart business because it extends the life of the tournament possibly and creates further storylines if the champion loses in the tournament. | |

Reem crushed Rogers.
Why do people want to see guys compete for the title when they haven't done anything to earn it? Any random season in any random sport "XYZ crushed this team why should we see them play again". It's a tournament. What happens if Rogers lights everyone up? You gon be all like "yo this mufucka lost to everyone before he beat them in the tournament so whatev"? No. You won't. Now shaddap and ride the epic.
