| Im not too sure on Mizzou, but I do know that OU does have good wrestling.
Almost every team in the Big 10 has a phenomenal wrestling team though. The main ones being Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio State and Penn State. You could say every team in the conference is extremely tough though.

The only thing Munoz did that fight was try a couple takedowns, which got stuffed by Hammill. Hammil neautralized Munoz' wrestling and then kicked his head right into his own knee.

| Somebody said Hamill has never been taken down in a UFC fight. Is this true? I'm trying to think back to all his fights I have seen. Someone check fight metric. If that is the case then I'd certainly say he has better MMA wrestling than I was giving it credit for. That would be impressive. | |

That is extremely impressive of true. However, I'm pretty sure the only guy even thinking about going for a takedown was Munoz. I didn't see the Reese fight, did Andy try for many takedowns?

You should check fight metric since you're the only one talking shit about Hamill's skills.

| Nice to see a day later that people have found a way to draw a line between college wrestling and effective wrestling in MMA 5, 10 and 15 years post college... Hamill is a handful for almost anyone in the LHW class in this regard. O'Brien hasn't shown nearly that much evolution in his game in my opinion...
For the third time, this is avery interesting match-up and I don't think that Hamill is getting nearly enough respect here. It's a coin flip fight for me... Very tough to call and probably should be a GOR even if it isn't "that" relevant to the LHW picture.

| I'd disagree that he's shown more. I think he's gotten more attention but that's it.
Both fighters are at least 12 months away from a title shot if not much more.

Hammil's probably never getting a title-shot imo, while Jones has a much greater upside as he has already shown to be more well rounded, with his striking and submissions. He also has more length and speed. I like Hammil alot, but I see him getting outstruck by Jones in this match - he hits slower and priobably is giving up 4'' of reach. The wrestling is a wash in my mind, though I would rather watch Jones wrestle for his style.
