The UFC is going to offer him a 3rd Mir fight first, but he wants Nelson: thinks its a tougher matchup and wants to be tested

Nelson will destroy Lesnar. I've always said that. If Lesnar takes him down, he gets sub'd. If he can't get or hold him down, he gets KO'd.

I think Brock beats Roy though. When do they plan on having him back, he is medically suspended for 180 days.

He can be cleared as soon as he's healed it won't be 180 days

That's what I thought but just wasn't sure. Would be nice if they had it on the super bowl card

I think it was like a month or 2 with no training though so that would be too early. I would guess late March/April

I like Brock's attitude.

Just like I said, the UFC wants Brock vs Mir 3 to get another guaranteed payday from Brock. That is the fight that makes the most sense for the UFC, but the least sense for the fans.

Look, I know you hate Lesnar, but use some mma knowledge here. This is Lesnar's fight for the taking. Nelson is a very good bjj fighter, from top, but doesn't sub people off his back. His only chance at winning this fight imo would be standing. That being said, Lesnar would know that Nelson has ko power and would take him down rather easily, but be able to keep him there, as opposed to Cain having the ability to get back up. Remember, it would only be a 3 round fight and would likely see Lesnar winning a unanimous decision. I think that fight looks the same in every round. Lesnar circles, takes him down, gnp, rest, gnp, rest, etc. The reason Carwin and Cain were so effective against Lesnar is because 1) its hard for him to take those two down, 2) they can get back up if they go down, and 3) they have better striking and better power. You put Lesnar against anyone with better striking, but nothing close to his wrestling ability and you see a 3 round gnp victory for Lesnar. Its just a stylistic situation is all.

I just don't have a lot of interest in either fight. I think Lesnar kills Roy and I don't need to see him fight Mir again.

Nelson has good transitional and scrambling skills. Herring and Mir are known to have poor wrestling skills. Mir is overrated off his back badly.

I do not believe Lesnar has the skills to put a man like Nelson on his back and keep him there fight in fight out.

Agree to disagree I guess. Personally, I think the difference in ability to scramble between Lesnar and Nelson is as large as the difference in striking between Lesnar and Cain.

I think this is a toss up. Jimbo makes very good points but I think undervalues Roy's striking. Roy can throw, and until I see Lesnar take a shot without folding like a broken lawn chair I won't take him over a guy that holds a piece of his kryptonite.

actually herrin had really good wrestling, a fight between him and lesnar was even brought up back in 05 even before lesnar got into mma. now in mir your right, he does have poor wrestling however he is much stronger than nelson and is great off his back unlike nelson. many grapplers have learned this in the past and even a better striker than nelson in timmy. nelson is highly underated now days so a win for him is a toss up. nelson might have better wresltin than mir but even jds was able to take him down in their match ups.

i never said they didnt have any ko wins. i said they didnt have any standing ko wins against the elite in the division. also yeah, jake out wrestled herring. he has a collegic wrestling background. a weak one but still a strong wrestler. just cus heaths level of wrestling wasnt like jakes doesnt mean he didnt have a decent one.
