- List the fighters who you believe would beat the number 2 ranked HW in the world if they fought in three months.
HW's - Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Roy Nelson, Daniel Cormier, Alistiar Overeem, Fedor Emelianenko, Josh Barnett, Antonio Silva, Fabricio Werdum.
LHW's who would beat him - Jon Jones, King Mo, Ryan Bader, Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida. shane = could beat brock if he loses about 20 pounds of muscle in order to gain stamina. with that said he would lose power so he might not even be able to rock brock as hard as he did before. i dont see this happenin so brock wins cain= #1 hw in the division and most well rounded fighter hw. beat him once, he could beat him twice. cain wins jds = best hw striker in the division. has the stand up necessary in order to put brock away. his ground is still a question however i could see him beating brock. jds wins nelson = very doubtful. neslon is a well rounded fighter however brock size and wrestling skill are good enough to defend any sub atempts from nelson just like he was able to from mir. even jds was able to take nelson down. brock wins. cromier = havent seen him step up to any top opponent to even consider him. brock wins overeem = glass chin of wich even roids cant replace. his stand up is highly overrated and to date hastn ko'd a top 10 hw from his feet in mma. his ground game is underrated and is strong enough sub brock off his back however his bjj in mma isnt at the level of mirs so i doubt he does it. brock wins fedor = second most well rounded hw in the divison. has the skill to put brock away however fedor hasnt fought a top hw at the level of brock since timmy (whos ground is nothing compared to brocks) so a fight with fedor is a toss up. 50/50 on who wins this fight. also its pointless to ever mention fedor vs any top ufc fighter for he will never be allowed to fight there. josh = highly overrated. needs roids in order to even compete. his wrestling wasnt ever even good enough to defeat cro cop after so many tries. since nog only fights third string fighters. brock wins bigfoot = has never beaten a top 10 guy and like josh needs roids to compete as well. brock wins werdum = very good fighter and top guy however his striking is no threat to brock and although he is top 3 bjj hw in the division and his bjj is much better than mirs his strength wouldnt be enough to get brock just like mir wasnt able to.brock wins at of the lhws jones and machida are the only ones i see beating brock. jones might be a 50/0 however machida has the speed and counters plus take down defense to break brock down. the rest would get the hulk smash treatment

i agree, its mma, only a few are great. however can you stop pretending like he isnt a top hw. also in what did he get exposed? his stand up? so your telling me you didnt believe experts and other posters when they said cains stand up was that good compared to brocks or his wreslting was top notch as well. what did brock get exposed in . real fans already knew his stand up wasnt so good. heck cain was favored to win. brock lost the the #1 hw in the division. i guess a gamed non zombie nog got exposed as well as even being a threat to cain. remember, unlike brock nog was favored to win against cain

He was beaten by Cain Wolf. I wouldn't call that "exposed" in any way. Brock is still on of the toughest HW's on the planet. 7 fights dude, 7 fights!

Never mind that the guy has a grand total of 5 wins to his credit. Im baffled by the continued brock love from serious MMA fans.

And why no roid asterik next to Carwins or Brocks names? yeah he was beaten form one end to another by the #1 hw in the world and current hw champ in a fight brock brought it in. brock went in there to fight agressively and paid for it. no shame in that. as for the roid thing. has brock been caught before and then ran for the hills like josh and bigfoot have. even a hw in timmy showed up and manned up to his hearing.

7 fights dude, 7 fights! What does the 7 fight thing mean? Cause imo, it shows how ridiculous it is to rank a guy as high as most do, when he GOT HIS ASS KICKED in his last fight.

Im baffled by the continued brock love from serious MMA fans. Some still think he has potential to learn and aren't gonna go crazy and go way overboard with hate, a lot from some, at least a little from others.

Just saying that people who still think this guy is a nearly unbeatable fighter just weeks after getting his ass kicked are living in LA LA land.

Rogers didn't have many fights and got KTFO by Fedor and you still had him in your top 10... Rogers first loss, in a fairly competitive fight vs the GOAT, is a bit different then getting your ass kicked from pillar to pillar inside of rd 1 vs a guy who was not in the top 10 2 years earlier. And Brock is still in my top 10.

Im baffled by the continued brock love from serious MMA fans. out of those 5 wins 3 have been against top 5 hws and 1 against a top 10 guy. very few hws from the past can say they have had that many wins over top level talent. fedor has 4 wins over top 5 guys in aa,cro cop, nog and timmy. nog has cro cop, timmy and josh, timmy has aa and ricco , mir has timmy and nog. randy has rizzo, randleman and timmy at hw and brock has mir, randy and carwin. its sad people do their ranking based on hate and favoratism instead of level of comp defeated
