| Undefeated Madsen and Mitrione have won a combined 7 fights since their time on the show in the UFC, and since the finale, Shaub is a very impressive 3-0. Nelson did suffer his first UFC loss to JDS in a barn burner, but has proven to be a legitimate threat at HW. James McSweeny is still stinking up the UFC while Justin Wren has compiled three wins since his split dec loss to Madsen on the finale. He looked talented on the show and should find his way back to the Octagon soon I'd hope.
Honestly I can't remember a TUF that did this much for the depth of a division.

| Not at all, Nelson was obvious, but Madsen, Shaub, Matty all have been solid.
I always thought Amir's season was the worst, dude never had a professional fight and owned everyone.

| I thought Meathead was awful on the show but he has improved big time. Season 1 will always be the best for talent but they were spread over a number of weight divisions. |

| The early seasons of TUF were full of MMA vets and UFC caliber fighters, where as, besides Nelson, this season's crop has been full of bonafide prospects with little experience with Madsen, Shaub and Mitrione(and Wren outside the UFC) all making noise and stringing wins together. | |

| Funny thing is I think the UFC made it only heavyweights to promote Kimbo and he ended up 1 of the worse on the show. |

| The UFC didn't give him a fair shake. I suppose his contract was over valued per his skill but he could have still won fights or at least been in entertaining fights with Travis Brown or Paul Buentello. Who am I kidding, they'd probably both take his head clean off. | |

| Are you sure your not confusing him with someone else? He came off as a bit of a wimp/coward on the show I thought. The way he complained about this injury or that injury, and the three days he spent complaining that he thought his brain was swelling after his first fight, and then he didn't do anything when Big Baby nearly jumped down his throat. Not to mention he always comes out to "Simple Man" which seems oddly fitting. | |

| TUF 10 was absolutely very helpful to the UFC heavyweight division. It brought in great athletes in Mittrione and Schaub, a great wrestler in Madsen, and a great fighter in Nelson. Now, admittedly, they're such great assets because of the weakness of heavyweights, but it's still four great guys to have (that is, when Madsen's not leaning his way to victory). | |

| I think seasons ten's benefits in fighters are magnified by the fact that HW is the weakest division overall. It had the best odds of producing new mainstays. | |

No doubt. But TUF 10 got a lot of criticism that, for whatever the reason, isn't valid.

| We look at where a few of them are now and think it was okay... But if you remember back, the show was shit because most of these guys were gassed 2 minutes into their fights. It wasn't that we thought they were shit fighters... We thought they gave shit efforts while on the show. | |

Well I think it was rightful criticism because in most of the fights the guys looked gassed in about 2 minutes. They are actually way better than the show portrayed in my opinion. There are some very good prospects from that season.

| has everyone forgot how awful Madsen was on the show?
I think it speaks more to how bad the FC HW division is/was when the show was made, ya they have some bonafide top 10ers but outside that we have Buentello vs Struve type fights, Madsen looked like dog shit on the show and beat Wren in a big upset , I think the show was average, mediocre
Madsen will not win a big time fight vs a top fighter, neither will Schaub, nor Mittrione, nor Nelson for that matter (he will not beat the Brocks, Carwins, JDS' off the division)
Wren was a stand out high school wrestler who doesnt use his wrestling enough IMO
was it as bad as some claim? No, is it as good as some claim? no

| Madsen just owned Yvel like no one has, Shaub just dominated Gonzaga....
And Buentello and Struve type fighters are solid at the lower end of the HW division, a lot of Orgs would take those guys.

| Nelson vs Carwin is a pretty even fight for me and I've always said Nelson would beat Lesnar. Shaub is fast and athletic with a good ground and standing game. Madsen is a top level wrestler who actually beat Lesnar in college in wrestling. | |
