| If Urijah Faber emerges victorious from his bout with Takeya Mizugaki, a unique opportunity emerges with Miguel Torres also coming off an impressive win over Charlie Valencia. I'd like to see the two square off as opposing coaches of 135 or 145lbs fighters. This is a super fight people have wanted to see for a long time. Use the season to set up a PPV where the coaches fight as headliners and a Cruz/Jorgensen defense as the co-headliner. This idea almost makes too much sense. Not only would it introduce the division to Spike fans, it would reward the WEC fans and the two fighters that built the WEC and brought it the most success. This move sets up two paperviews, breathes new life into The Ultimate Fighter, and would help develop the emerging divisions. | |

| Title shot, Faber would make Torres look bad, I'd expect a TKO. | |

| Yeah, probably, but that is why they need to use Torres now like this. I don't know how much value he will have long term. I think they should cash in on both as soon as possible. No guarantee either fighter will be this marketable in a year. | |

| My boy Bowles and Torres rematch....while Faber beating Mizu gets next shot
That's a pretty nice division now with Cruz, Faber, Bowles, Torres, Bena and Wagney

| That strategy would be alright too, but doesn't have nearly the upside of mine.
Dana, just send me tickets to the PPV ok?

| Oh ur looking at ticket/PPV sales? then yea that is the fight to make, didn't know that's what u were thinking. More on how it should go is the other way.
Faber's gonna win the Title from Cruz either way IMO

| Not just in terms of ticket sales but in terms of exposure for the division to fans. I think TUF would be of value for the lighter weight classes, especially if it attracted some quality fighters and prospects that might have fought small chasing 155 money otherwise. These divisions have room to grow. Torres also seems like he'd be a good coach.
I also wouldn't count him out of the bout itself.

| Oh shit, greatt idea for someone who doesn't like TUF, Faber an torres would be great coaches and a great season with smaller guys. | |

| I like the idea of Faber and Torres as coaches on TUF but I don't think they'd sell much ppv's to be honest. They could be the co-main event to GSP-Shields though. |

Faber's gonna win the Title from Cruz either way IMO If he can stay healthy which is not a givin at this stage. Once a fighter has hand problems they tend to keep popping up.

| I think it's a great idea. Both guys are in a relative rough patch of their careers, but as far as introducing the new weight divisions to the spike audience, I don't think there is a more interesting matchup.
and yeah, a little payback to these guys who were in on the WEC's initial surge.

| If they were featured on a TUF and then shown on PPV along with Cruz/Jorgensen making a defense, I think it would do well on PPV. At least 300k. I know we're spoiled by one million buy fights but that kind of number isn't bad either. | |

| i like the idea. torres needs to at least avenge his defeat to bowles and then the tuf would be good for a title shot | |

| I don't think that avenging that loss is a certainty at all. Strike while the iron is hot. If Faber wins, do it now. Torres can't afford another loss and still be this marketable. Shame Bowles wasn't able to crank a win out before this point because you could have Bowles square off against Jorgenson/Cruz winner on the same PPV as Torres and Faber meet, loading the main event fights with champions and former champions. | |

| I like the idea of them on TUF but don't see a PPV headlined by two sub 155 lb bouts anytime soon | |

| Why do you guys think this is so unrealistic? I imagine Aldo headlines a fight in 2011. Anyway, if they do a TUF that changes the game entirely, especially with Faber and Torres. That fight is a PPV headliner all day long.
The UFC didn't pull the trigger on this so these guys can fight on Spike prelims or on the undercard.

| It just might take a while, no one said unrealistic, I see co-headers, maybe Aldo in a real big fight, but who would there be? | |

| Faber and Torres is probably the biggest fight they could make on PPV with all WEC fighters. It would make the most sense after a TUF season, and would be great if anchored by a title fight in the same division. Enter my idea. UFC PPV buyers would pay attention to that fight. This thing wouldn't do a million or a half million, but that is hardly the mark of a successful PPV. I'd imagine no less than 300k, which would be a success. | |

| Anyway there is no reason to jump right into putting those kind of fights as the headliners, the stable is so deep now, it's possible, but they could make that a co-header and make a very sick card. | |

| Urijah vs Torres, with a bantam title fight and a feature fight with Forrest or Franklin or something. Perfect. | |

| Probably but let's not act like Torres is trash or anything. He's only been trounced once. He had Bowles on queer street early before Bowles came back. | |
