Not very close to me but Joey showed some heart by fighting hard on the ground and very good standup.

Kind of On subject but I was talking With Jr Ross about his possible work with Hd net. He had a meet with strikeforce a few weeks ago but said strikeforce does not hire their commentators its CBS.

So JR on HD net? what do you guys think. He seems like a nice enough guy and knows more alot of cough GOLDIE cough hacks

Yeah I thought that too. That fight wasn't even close to being close

Jacare didn't move up really in stature after this fight. For a guy who was supposed to have miles of advantage in grappling and submissions on the ground, he showed very little. The take down was his best offense in the fight but Joey kept getting up. I give him a wafer thin edge in strikes though. He gassed and put himself in a place he really shouldn't of been in the end. After the first round I was thinking this guy was gonna plant himself deep in the MW rankings but after the fight was over that idea wore off.

I think this view of the fight downplays Joe's abilities, Jacare easily won a fight vs a very solid fighter who I'll assume was super prepared, and who clearly showed great heart. I thought Jacare looked very good.

Can't say I was really paying attention to the call though.

Frank Shamrock is the worst fighter/analyst there is. Yes, even worse than Bonnar. He's dumb. His keys to the fight are stupid. I hate listening to him slurring his retarded words. Seriously, the UFC's production is soooooo much better than Strikeforce's. And that's saying something, because I think there's a lot of improvement to be had in the UFC's production.

Yeah, they must be drinking buddies with Villasenor. Jacare outclassed him everywhere even after he gassed.

Mauro and Pat Millitich would be a good team. I don't see the need for two play by play commentators and an active fighter like Shamrock who hates everybody. I respect that Frank speaks his mind but for a promoter, pretty much burying Jake Shields on his way to the cage before defeating the orgs big free agent signing is unforgivable. Win or lose.

Also, i forgot who but somebody was making a crack about AA last night. Somebody said "Maybe he should try a flying knee" when it was looking like AA was not going to be able to make anything happen.
