| The Celtics and Lakers have met twelve times in the Finals with Boston winning nine of them. | |

| Doesn't matter how many teams were in the league. The Celtics beat whoever was in front of them. Bill Russell is the greatest winner in NBA history. This is from a Bulls fan also. |

Give you that, the 60 Titles don't do much for me, but the 80's and 08 Titles were nice, still we're going in oppsite directions over the years. Hope to see you in the Finals

There were only 16 teams, like 4 were by far better then the others and the Celtics had by far the most talent the way the league was.

| I know my basketball history. The Lakers had great talent also but Wilt was Russell's bitch. |

| You can look things up, but he wasn't the player he had been with LA, good obviously, won a Title and the Finals MVP I'm pretty sure, but saying how Russell owned him and equating it to his Laker days needs clarification because he was better pre Lakers. | |

| He was a better team player at the Lakers and led them in assists. I learnt all about him more than 10 years ago. He was to individual at Phili. |

| But still wasn't the player he was in his prime at that point, this is all dealing with you saying Russell owns him relating to the Lakers, he wasn't at his peak with LA. | |

| He led the Lakers in assists because he was a stat whore that wanted to lead the league in the category. He would routinely pass up good shots just to try and get his assist numbers up. Dude was a headcase | |

| That's not to say that he wasn't a much better team player when he was with the Lakers because he was, but it was still Wilt a man who cared about his stats first and foremost | |
