| Jon Voight in Anaconda.
That movie could have been loads better if it was mainly about Voight's character hijacking the ship and dragging the crew through all these crazy adventures. Voight pulled off a great performance that was overshadowed by 5-6 bad ones and an unrealistic snake doing unrealistic things with chesst effects. As a matter of fact, Anaconda was a pretty good movie until, ya know, the Anaconda showed up.

| Love the thread, but don't agree on Voight, just a regular performance, always remember when he got regurgitated by the anaconda and winks at Lopez. | |

| Actors are 80 percent (my opinion) so this is a good idea for a post but a difficult one. Morgan Freeman has given good performances in many an awful "Who dunnit." That's the only one that comes to mind right now. | |

| There was a stupid movie called K-9 starring John Belushi. The dog that was in it was pretty good. | |

| To be honest, my experience has been that if there's a "Great" performance in a movie, it's a good movie. | |

| We need to define great acting performance here. For example, Marlon Brando was great in the "Godfather." The thread says great, not exciting, crowd pleasing or even good. | |

See I'd argue script is 80%, So far we have 160% of a movie.
