apparently he has Parkinsons disease, very sad to hear, he has always been on of my favorite actors since I was a little kid (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) and IMO is one of the great underrated actors of our time.
Best of luck to him and I hope he can still live a happy life.

tai think I read that he was in 80 movies, and shit the only one that sucked that I can think of was Mario Bros.

Very sad to hear I've always liked and respected Bob.
He came really close to playing Capone in The Untouchables before De Palma threatened to quit the movie because the studio wouldn't cast DeNiro.

while DeNiro was great in that, I imagine Bob would have been great just as well.
I still think the funniest thing is ya know who turned down being Eddie Valiet for Who Framed Roger Rabbit?? Eddie Murphy, I saw a cool interview where he said that was his biggest regret but he said Hoskins did such a good job, he said whenever it is on tv he watches it.

I love Inside The Actors Studio !!! James Lipton is a legend.
I love the fact alot of the British actors choose Cunt as their favorite curse word

Hmm, Bob actually resembles Capone facially and body type. I can easily see him nailing that part. Can't complain about De Niro's performance in that movie though.

completely agree, DeNiro added weight for the role, I think Hoskins would have really been more natural.
but fuck it, long live Hoskins career, he didn't need anything else to cement its legacy.

I was actually thinking the same thing when I read about Bob almost playing the part, he really does resemble Capone.

If he had got the capone role, it would of been career changing. Bob, was good though.

Helen Mirren is also great in it.
Also got a glimpse of a young Pierce Brosnan in there.
