I am not sure what hipster garbage you are referring to, so I can't disagree with whatever you are calling "hipster" music to be any different than mainstream music. You have already shown that you can't classify other genre's other than "Emo Pussy Shit" (which was wrong) so give some examples of this "hipster music" you are broadly talking about. Than I might agree or disagree with you there. How are you talking about music that you have never heard in your life as having the same "moral lesson or intent of John Mellencamp" You have no clue what you are talking about... All assumption.

No I am not saying that at all.. I am the only opinion that matters in what music I like, so I could care less if anybody liked it.. in fact the less people that like it the better.. is that selfish?

the difference between me and you is for some reason you have a clear cut definition for what is good music, where as I understand others have different taste in music/sounds.. Another difference is I am not narrow-minded and will listen to any type or style of music especially without insulting it.. Hell I even appreciate what lady gaga does for blinding people and keeping them away from shows that I want to see.
