First of all the thought that indie is a genre is stupid enough. Indie music is defined as independently produced music. And to say it is a trend is retarded since it has been going on since the Velvet Underground.

It is a genre since the values expressed in the music are typically the same. My genre perspective may be different than yours. I'm in the underground looking up, you're in the mainstream looking down.

Look at the three songs I posted they couldn't be any different yet according to you they are the same genre.

I'm in now way a "hipster" or anything like that and most people who listen to this kind of music are just like this. I just want to listen to good music and not some gay Swedish metal band.
