Dont buy into what Dougie says about Margarito, Fisher is is still a Margarito fan boy.

Pacquiao was going to be in for a tough fight with Diaz.
Pacquiao was going to get destroyed by the much bigger De la Hoya.
Pacquiao was going to get roughed up by Hatton who looked great against the speedy Malignaggi.
Pacquaiao was going to get KO'd by the stronger body attacks of Cotto.
Clottey who enters the ring at 170 would price to be too much for the undersized Pacquiao.
Heard it all before Jigga, Margarito IMO is shot and Pacman boxes circles around the slow footed Mexican.
Not so, as Pacquaio was the betting favorite in all those fights besides the DLH bout. Had people of known DLH would come in as a stick figure in the ring, no one would have gave him a chance. After seeing oscar was still 145 on fight night, I knew he was introuble.

Do you just disagree to be a fucking pain in the ass? These were arguments presented by people on the other board. You were there for those arguments. These are not my thoughts.

Morales can actually box, Margarito knows one way only, face first offense
That will be his end, marching forward into Pac's speed and combos

If he can keep Manny on the back foot Tony's got a great chance of wearing him down, Manny has no defense to counter Margarito's offense once he's on the backfoot.

But he's not the same fighter he was when Morales first faced him, he can actually box circles around Tony
I think Manny will do what Cotto did for 6 rds but even better, Tony wont be able to keep up
I really see this fight like David Diaz and DLH where, slow opponents getting overwhelmed by Pac's speed

Manny will allow himself to get caught on the ropes and corner at times, once he's there Margarito will pound away at his body and throw multiple uppercuts. You've also got the extra weight which will slow Manny down and strengthen Tony, I am starting to excited for this competitive fight.

Extra weight? Tony's been a career WW and not done well when he moved up to 147, add the beat downs he received against Cotto and Mosley, I think he's at his end
Having zero defense will lead to Pac having the chance to do more damage early and often

Tony struggled at Jr Middleweight when he faced men the same size as him, Manny's 5'6 frame isn't suitable for 150lb +. Margarito was able to walk through Cotto's shots and smile at him, I can't see Manny's power doing the same damage as Mosley, his best chance is to use his speed and box to a decision, but as we've seen lately Manny's been content to allow fighters to test his chin at the higher weights.

I think that's right. One other thing I wonder about is Manny's habit at 147 to go to the ropes. What is that? Is it age creeping up and taking his legs? Is it the added weight stressing his legs or his cardio system? Is it just a poor choice?

Vs Cotto, I saw it as Cotto actually being in the fight at that point, Miguel was using his jab and landing it, pushed Manny around for a bit before getting caught

Yup, Manny loses a lot, not all, but a lot of his physical advantages at 147. When he gets hit by these guys it has a greater impact than whan even great 130's were whacking him. To be expected I guess.

Roberto Garcia and Daniel Santos? Struggled real bad vs both, and Garcia is a straight can, and Tony looked terrible in May against him
I dont see the weight being that much of an issue, Margarito has been a welterweight his whole career, and Pac has seemed pretty comfortable around 147

I was wondering that too Marble, is that a subtle sign that Manny's legs are declining ? similar to Floyd in the De La Hoya fight.
Manny's approaching that age where wear and tear take their toll on the little guys. He's been a professional since what 16 ?

+1
When Cotto vs Manny was first announced, I thought he had a shot because his jab could be an issue for Pac like it was in the Morales fight, but Cotto went with his buddy as his trainer, and Pac just a lot different than he used to be when he was at 130

Garcia was a tune up after a year of inactivity, nobody expected a Golden Johnson one round blow out there. Daniel Santos was a top Jr Middleweight for years, Tony's got no reason to be ashamed of those two difficult fights.

Thirty year old flyweights are ancient. Think he got any younger putting on all that weight? Fifteen years as a pro, even if it's only 50 fights is a loooooong time.
Course I could be saying stuff like this so I can say "The freaking midget did it AGAIN!" on fight night.

Why do you say that? Mosley hit Cotto and Cotto didnt fold but when Manny hit him he did. I am not saying that Manny has more power than Shane. I will say that Margo's chin is not the same as it use to be and Manny will KO him within 7 rounds.
