Alexander Dimitrenko also in the running to face Wladimir Klitschko on Dec 11th

Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs) is still in the market for an opponent when he makes his 10th title defense on Dec. 11 in Germany. Manager Bernd Boente told ESPN.com that the two leading candidates to get the fight are Alexander Dimitrenko and Derek Chisora. Dimitrenko (30-1, 20 KOs), who is based in Germany but, like Klitschko, is from Ukraine, suffered his only loss to Eddie Chambers in a July 2009 title eliminator. Chambers went on to face Klitschko in his next fight, and was dominated before being brutally knocked out in the 12th round. Dimitrenko, 6-foot-7 and 260 pounds, has a thin résumé but matches up well physically with Klitschko. England's Chisora (14-0, 9 KOs) is inexperienced, but he has back-to-back knockouts against opponents known in England -- a ninth-round knockout of Sam Sexton on Sept. 18 and a second-round knockout of former title challenger Danny Williams, who was stopped by Klitschko in a title fight but owns a knockout win against Mike Tyson. Boente said if terms are not reached with either of those fighters, former cruiserweight champ Jean-Marc Mormeck of France is back in the picture.

Dimitrenko isn't and will never be ready for this. But it'd be interesting to see a tall guy get the crap kicked out of him.

Dimitrenko will stand there with a deer-in-the-headlights look as Wlad jabs him to death

how can a guy that Chambers completely outboxed going to deal with Wlad? At least it would be another top 10 ranked guy for Wlad to dispatch.

marble nooo we havent lowered the bar and neighter has wlad.haye wont fight him povetkin wont either adamek has a fight schudled and will fight one of the brothers next year.valuez is injured out for 9 months hes beaten peter chagev chambers and thompson and fighting his brother is out of the question and i agree with that...soo who is left ..yes he will fight a fill in the blanks rated fighter.the division is as thin as paper.hes taking on the best avalible .soo yes credit for at least staying active is due him..now if the division was loaded there is noo doubt in my mind nor should there be in anyone elses that he and vitali would take on the best of that loaded division..wlad i feel has overall fought the better competion then his brother or any other heavyweight around..it may take 3 to 5 years to turn this division around.till then good for wlad and vitali..they tried to make the fights against the better heavies but the other fighters are not co operating.

I'd rather see Dimitrenko in there than Chisora, at least he's experienced at world level and poses a challenge with his size.

my scottish friend, neither guy presents a challenge.

Dimitrenko poses no challenge as he has no idea how to deal with a decent boxer.

Chambers beat him with speed and technique. Wlad's punches are as fast as Chambers. Moreover, they have 10 times the power and additional length. Dimitrenko goes into a defensive mode by round 2 and won't engage.

I'd rather Chisora get the lottery ticket.

This guy is going to get his fucking ass kicked! I just hope Wlad does it quickly and doesn't make this guy suffer.
