Dez pays $55K for Cowboys dinner

Well, that dinner happened Monday night. The final tab: $54,896.

Bryant took the offensive players out to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. Williams, however, made sure Bryant got the message, inviting defensive players as well.

And guess who was left holding the bill afterward.

"They got the young fella," said Bryant's adviser, David Wells. "What could he say? He had to pay it unless he wanted to wash dishes for a month."

Players ordered basically everything on the menu and even took home bottles of wine.

After checking out the 90-page wine book, it's anybody's guess if anybody took home a bottle of Chateau Latour for $9,000. It's also possible a few players ordered a bottle of PlumpJack Reserve for $600.

haha isnt that a tradition for rookies in dallas. He got off light from what I have heard in the past and from other teams but damn. If anyone bought a 9000.00 bottle a wine just to buy it there getting punched in the mouth if im paying. Taco bell anyone?

We talked about guys getting dinged for 3-10K at dinner in that thread about him refusing to carry Williams' pads... But this is a hell of a bill. I don't recall anyone getting tugged this hard. Wonder if it included tip? If not, that's a solid 10K tip on top...

Yeah I remember talking about it but couldn't find the thread. There was picture of a receipt and the tip was included so I'm guess the same goes for this.

That is a little excessive, I know he just signed a contract and all that but 50k is 50k, especially considering he could lose his profession with one nasty hit. Ouch guys.
