In my never ending quest to torture Brother Ali, I am going to watch the Haye-Valuev fight on youtube to determine just how many punches David Haye threw that night. I will report here round by round and I hereby pledge that if the total is more than a rounded average of twelve per round I will adjust David Haye's nickname accordingly.

Any quips, encouragement etc would be appreciated. I may not come out of this a well man.

I am struggling to make sure I can actually count the punches in these rapid combinations.

During that fight, I didnt even bother watching half that fight. I watched like the first 3 rounds and the last 2 rounds.

Fourteen punches thrown for a total of 77.

Larry Merchant would be foaming at the mouht watching this.

Despite all that, I'd still love to see Haye fight either one of the Klits. The pre-fight stuff would be classic, and he does have a chance to flash KO Wlad.

Most likely he gets the snot beat out of him and stopped in the mid rounds, but hey, that'd be fun to see to!

I should say at this point that the TV team claims 83 punches thrown by Haye.

Ten punches thrown for a total of 87 to this point.

I may be falling into a vegitative state.

Twelve punches thrown for a total of 99.

Round Nine

Eleven punches thrown for a total of 110.

An enormously active round. Fourteen punches thrown. I'm at 124 through ten rounds.

Ten punches thrown. I'm at 134 going into the last round.

Again as a comparison Lampley and merchant were ready to execute Sergoi Mora when he threw 500+ punches last week.

The broadcast had 143 punches thrown by Haye. I think they missed a handful.
