Frank Warren wants to make Derek Chisora vs Nikolai Valuev

Derek Chisora's next fight could be against giant Russian Nicolay Valuev if promoter Frank Warren has his way.

He said he wanted the fight after Del Boy stopped Sam Sexton to unify the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles on Saturday.

Former WBA title holder Valuev is probably most famous for losing his belt to Londoner David Haye.

And Warren believes that Chisora could enjoy equal success against the 7' Beast from the East.

"I'm not saying it would be easy for Derek, but with his work rate and hand speed, he would give Valuev problems and win," said Warren.

"I want to talk to Valuev's promoter Wilfred Sauerland about it.

"He's only had 14 fights but he showed tonight his potential.

"The one fight I really want for him is Audley Harrison, but we obviously can't do that because Harrison is fighting Haye.

"But I would have made that in a heartbeat. There would only be one winner and that would be Chisora."

Seems like the only fight Valuev wants right now is vs a Klitschko

It's highly unlikely to happen, Derek isn't ready for that step up in class yet, Valuev might not be great but he's experienced enough to give Chisora lots of problems. A fight with the European champ Alexander Dimitrenko would be a much smarter choice.

In my opinion this type of move speaks more about Frank desperation to quickly generate a cash cow not that Khan's left him.

That is the worst possible matchmaking I've heard of in a while. That screams cash out.

Valuev is way too big and wins an ugly fight because of his sheer size.

HW is wide open, can make a quick name by calling out name fighters and beating up cans

Think the plan is to go after a ranked fighter then look for the big fish

Exactly why Frank made that big card yesterday, he's desperate to replace Khan.

Cleverly impressed me the most yesterday, he fought wreckles but showed grit and determination to wear down a tough durable ranked fighter.

I don't like his father being his trainer though, I'd much rather have Enzo Calzaghe in his corner.

Keep dreaming, the only reason Audley's facing Haye is because he was heavily backed by Sky Sports, they whipped out a fat check to get Haye to accept this fight.

Derek Chisora brings nothing to the table for Haye.
