| That was a terrible beating. I would have liked to have seen a Peter vs Arreolla fight, but after that severe thrashing I would advise Peter to retire for the sake of his long term health. | |

| Someone (you?) raised that point yesterday and I agree. I wonder if we ever see Peter in the ring again and if we do, what will he have left? He took a man sized beating. | |

| It was me.
Peter has a monster beard, but even he was wincing and looking for a way out towards the end. I can't see him ever being the same after that beating.
Look how long Eddie Chambers has been out recovering after nearly being decapitated.

| I am beginning to think that Wlad jab needs to be understood as a power punch. In my lifetime I cannot recall another guy who could make men stationary, discouraged and looking beaten up with that as the primary cause. | |

| Peter took a beating from both brothers. Against Vitali, he was beaten up and quit. Against Wlad they should have stopped it after about 7-8 rounds. Wlad hit him until his body was screaming no more. | |

| wow just getting to watch the fight on espn
what a whoopin
that said lets be realistic this is the division where Tony Thompson has fought the Klits the best in the last 4 years
Peter can definitely beat some more bums and make some pay checks, keep him away from the Klits for his own sake though
gotta give him props though the dude fights a whos who of this era, Toney twice, Maskaev, Wlad twice, Vitali, Chambers

| He needs to retire. He got beat up badly.
I would guess he has money saved, as he had a big payday against Vitali and another one against Wlad. You fight either one of those guys it is like hitting the lottery. So he hit the lottery twice.

| I agree that he took a helluva beating, but other fighters have taken beat downs similar to that & still fought. Peter is a tough guy. He'll recoup and fight again. Granted, Wlad hits harder than most, but he's not the most devastating puncher ever. Now if he had better footwork and had the ability to torque his body into some of those punches, he might've killed Sam. | |

| It was a sustained beating. And Wlad is a big puncher. There is a reasons most guys go out there and decide to run after the first right hand lands.
If you count the beating Vitali laid on him it was the 2nd sustained beating
Actually if you count the first fight against Wlad where he took a beating in all but the couple of rounds where he had Wlad down, it is the 3rd sustained beating

He made a million bucks for fighting James Toney. He made over a million bucks for fighting Maskaev. I read he made 4 million for fighting Vitali. You gotta figure he made at least 1 million each time he fought Wlad. Peter should have some money in the bank.

| Finally saw this fight last night. Man, had to feel for Peter in the later rounds of this one. I agree he might have some serious issues after a beating like that.
He was bascially just trying to survive for the whole second half of the fight, can't believe his corner let it go that long.
