Maidana to WBA: Khan doesnt want to fight me, strip him

Let’s see for real who wants to fight and who does not. Trust me, Amir Con would relinquish his title rather than face me, “El Chino” added.

Arreola fought Mintor 2 and half months after getting TKO'ed by Vitali. You can argue the level of competition i guess.

It's only Maidana who's creating a fuss, he's got a steak on the table but wants a lobster.

Maidana looking for the big paydays in these fights tells me isn't that confident he can beat anyone. Get the big fight and cash while your name is hot. Otherwise he'd take the fight at the current offer and whoop Khan then get the Bradley Alexander winner for big money.

Kotelnik and Corley both are tough cagey veterans no shame in losing a close decision early in your career to Kotelnik and looking bad against Corley. Maidana is tough and carries a heavy hand. He is a tough cjallange for any top guy in that division. I junst think he'll get beat by all three guys.

It's boxing. Being tough and having a heavy hand is more than enough to win. He just won't be the favorite. The only guy whose actions have made him look confident that he would win is Alexander, and he had the worst performance out of the Top 4 in his last fight.

I have a feeling that Khan is more attached to making $ than holding a strap if push comes to shove. He's young and can always get another strap or unifying them later on. And he can make $ without Marcos and without his image changing. So the burden of making the fight is on Maidana.

Disagree with the bold. At least Kotelnik is a Top 10 guy. Chop Chop is a faded fighter who hasnt been relevant in 5 years. Also a still very green Devon whooped up on Corley on the Tito vs Jones Jr undercard.

I agree with Maidana wanting to cash out while he has the chance. When it comes down to it, he beat a young fighter that does not have heart. That is his big win. He is a power puncher but will get worked over by Bradley or Khan (unless he gets caught). I think an Alexander fight would be more interesting but like Alexander to take him in a similar way to Urango. In fact, I would like a Urango-Maidana fight.

Yes it does. I think Maidana would win in a brutal fight. Both guys would go down more than once if you have the right ref in there.

Both guys have pretty solid beards too, I'd lean towards Urango who's got a little bit more power and a sturdier chin.

September 18 was supposed to be the rematch. My team agreed to a deal and then two hours later I got a call saying that Maidaina turned it down. I guess you better ask him why it didn't happen and when it will happen.
