It cant hurt to get mma tot his new demographic... normally mma is hitting 18-35 but with this your going to hit people over 35 and they are going to see a different side of an MMA star and maybe bring in some new fans or atleast make some people look at mma differently(not hate it)

This is a great thing for MMA and it will show ppl what are sport is and they we aren't talking about a bunch of retards! But intelligent, thoughtful men (and women) who fight for a living. Plus this just ups the ante for the UFC and ESPN/ABC to make a deal.

Actually, put a more thoughtful post up earlier, but some D-bag on a power trip decided to erase it. So I will grant the point. I was being lazy, but I am still right. I hope this will show people that we have good, quality human beings and that the sport is not a bunch of neanderthals clubbing each other.

I fail to see how Chuck Liddell dancing on national television will break down any mma athlete stereotypes any more than Mayweather did with boxing, Clyde Drexler did with Basketball and Emmit did with the NFL.

The people who watch dancing with the stars do not watch sports as a rule and especially not combat sports. Maybe if you put Sexiyama on the show instead of a guy with a mohawk and tatoos on his head people may think twice about mixed martial artists.
